Ok
On tank 1.5.
Filled up with 93 with 185 miles to go with whatever the dealer filled it with.
Local station was out of regular and selling 93 for 87 cost.
I am not seeing huge mileage increases so far.
I am using slightly more electric than gas, something the 24 never did though.
Local...
Oh, that's from Car and Driver.
I had a 4x4 Outdoorsman with the Iron Duke, 4.85 gears, and the 5 speed.
Just a tank or old Jeep.
But mileage, not that far from a 2.0 Mav, but a hybrid is twice as fuel efficient.
Amazing advance in that aspect, but imagine a Mav hybrid system but into an S10...
Here's something to compare stats to.
A 1985 S10, my first brand new mini truck.
I went places and hauled weights that would squish a Maverick, but look at the difference in stats, amazing.
That said, if I could buy a 1985 S10 today for the price of the Maverick, I'd take the S10.
To be clear.
I LOVED my 24, had it undercoating, bedliner, it was supposed to be half small work truck, half daily driver.
My helper, who I planned to keep working with until I was 61 1/2, got an early disability at 61.
He deserved it, brick/block layer by trade and truly disabled.
I wasn't...
Not needed for me.
PA has no fee for a hybrid, but they do for any plug in.
I don't want to EVER plug a vehicle in, why go halfway, buy a hybrid or an E car.
Why hassle with 20 minute charges ever?
Further, put a little more time in my 25 today, in a bit of a hurry, this truck is quicker and...
Increased torque may not equate to more HP.
It's still running an extra output shaft, which increases drag on the entire system, as does driving another axle.
Maintaining mileage is likely by generating more electricity, hence my thought it's going to increase performance by generating more...
But I'm wondering if the larger generator is pulling more power slowing it, because the battery is never fully charged with the way I drive.
I'm averaging almost 50/50 battery/motor usage.
Very little highway, all local, engine on uphill, electric downhill.
No, of course I'm not in L.
Either normal or eco, didn't seem to matter.
In PA it's all hills where I am, generally have to be doing 55 to still be going 45 at the bottoms.
This is at low speeds, like under 40.
Good article.
It explains exactly what I've noticed, this is NOT the same vehicle as my 24 Hybrid.
Regerative breaking is far more aggressive, meaning, I have to use the motor to speed up going down hills or it comes to a stop.
Only at 300 miles, I can't get an idea of mileage this early, as...
Looking for new, or excellent Maverick rims, but they MUST BE 2025 rims.
Tire pressure sensors are different on 24s and back.
Going to be for winter tires, so, steelies are fine, so are aluminum rims, but price is the bottom line.
Western PA, Armstrong county, can travel.
Go complain, my dealer was attempting to see if Ford would backdate the deal.
Because he knew a few would be pissed about missing it.
I did it today, because the transfer guy was off on Wednesday, so, a non problematic delay saved me money.
You have zip to lose, go for it.
Yo.
850 bucks my...
Here it is, I've owned it for an hour.
XL, one option, a hitch, Hybrid AWD.
I had 1600 cash to pay the balance, paid them 735, after today's applied rebate.
This WAS ordered in November, so not dealer stock per se.
So yes, even ordered vehicles get the rebate.
I'm in one of the vacant parts.
Further, I'll never sit and wait to charge for 20 minutes.
Never, not happening, enjoy yours, but I'll stick to a gasoline hybrid.
How long can an EV keep the heat on if you need to utilize it in a blizzard, and stuck scenario?
Hours?
A day?
Stuck at camp...
