After 15 months and just under 35k miles... Yes! I'd buy my '24 hybrid Maverick again. Just as I had guessed when I ordered it, it's now like an old catcher's mitt, or my favorite pair of jeans: Comfortable, all the utility and power I need, and it just works. I still smile every time I see it...
Google maps on my center screen... Most of the functions are fine, but I really don't like how the search field randomly shows places I've been, or searched. I often give people rides, and this sometimes confuses them when they see it (if it's not their own destination). I say randomly because...
@bigphotog ...
At the current price of hard shell bed caps, I'd say it'll sell very well indeed. I needed a cap, but could only get the soft topper, at about 1/4 the price of a hard shell.
I went with Weather Tech also (based on past experience).
Pros:
* Nice and deep profile, saved me at least once when a big spill happened.
* Tough, take a lot of abuse.
* Looks nice, fast easy to clean. In a very salty winter in the Midwest, it took less than 5 minutes to go to a manual wash...
Half hour min wait at the local car wash. Still makes me smile everytime I look at it. ๐โค๐ป๐จ๐จ
But yeah... Got it washed the following morning. ๐
I've had mine for 11 months and I do enjoy driving it a lot. it's got a long wheelbase, but the proportions of the Maverick are just right (bumper to bumper, it's as long as a midsized Explorer). I agree that smoother roads feel better, but even on bumpy roads, mine has a nice firm feel, without...
Ha! I lost a parking slip in mine (lost the original ticket, not the validation slip). Couldn't dig it out, so I went to the gate to get out... There's an option to say 'lost ticket'. When I chose it, it let me out for free. But yeah, mind how long your parking slips are before you use that dang...
I give people rides to appointments on a daily basis, and I usually park with my truck idling (for a/c in summer, heat in winter) while waiting for them. I get the oil changed every 5k miles, along with tire rotation.
Just a shout out to @Discount Tire... The factory Continental Pro Contact TX's on my '24 XLT had worn out tread after just over 24k miles. So I got a good deal on a set of Nokian Encompass AW01's at their store in Janesville. I did the lug nut upgrade with them right after I bought my Maverick...
From a 2014 Ford Escape SE, to a 2024 Maverick XLT. Waited 519 days for my Maverick. Very happy with it, 21,500 miles since February, still rock solid. Just needs tires tho, before 2025 starts.
Depending on what it is, it runs the gamut from cheap and easy, to difficult and time consuming. The orange rubber trim in the center console is cheap and easy to change out, and I've seen snap-on covers on Amazon, for the vents.
But the trim on the door pulls is on the other end of the...
My usage follows the 'extended idling' description, so I get the oil changed every 5k. Usually get the tires rotated at the same time (original OEM set, as of now). My Maverick still runs like a champ since February of this year, but it's almost time for a new set of tires (just turned over 20k...
