Ford's tracking email still says that my truck is on a rail car somewhere, but I got a call last week from the dealer that the elusive unicorn had finally arrived.
After six days, I'm not feeling too inconvenienced by the wait, even though I was terrified that the wheels were going to fall off...
Well. I finally got my scheduled date last Thursday. Two days later, it moved out two more days. I hope this trend doesn't continue. Really looking forward to getting this thing, I've needed it for so long and done without for so long. There's only so much construction materials you can pack...
That's encouraging. I ordered mine late October of 21. Had I known they were available in July, I certainly would have ordered then. I've had the cash in pocket for some time now. The dealer did try and get me to let go of a few features, but after that much wait, why not get what you truly want?
I just want a sense of the scale of the problem. I've waited far too long to wind up with a defective truck. If this is one in a thousand, great. One in a hundred? Okay. 1 in 10? Unacceptable.
Oh hell.
I've been waiting over 14 months for this thing and still don't have a schedule date. Now I read about all these problems with the hybrids. Is this a one-off situation, or is this pretty common? If this is common, I'm going to abandon this order and go buy a Toyota or something.
