Had a Ridgeline sold it now have a maverick.
Maverick:
More fun to drive
Easier to park
$15k less expensive
Better mpg (even with ecoboost awd)
Ridgeline:
Under bed storage is amazing
Bigger/more comfortable for very long trips
Higher quality
Non turbo / probably more reliable long term...
Smae here. I thought how amazing of a deal the Mav deal was... especially when you compare to escape and other pickups. Bronco Sport and Santa Fe you get the much smaller engine for a similar price. Mav is a ridiculous deal though less so now
'23 fx4 (without 4k towing) I am getting 25 winter 27 summer. Normal speeds around town, 80+ highway. I'm very happy with it. Super capability for those mpg's. This truck is amazing.
I always wonder about this. Will my Mav beat a high end Sierra or F150 off the line at a stop light? I'm guessing a raptor or zr2 will smoke the maverick? This is really important for my ego 🤦♂️
Not sure about brands... but the decision for spray in v drop in - for the Mav spray in wins hands down. The drop in is only better for a huge bed where you need to slide things across the surface, like sending a tool box towards the cab or a large heavy object, refrigerator etc. Spray in...
So I ripped the fuzzy, drivers side underbody splash shield. I think it's the one in the picture below (but they say "left side" not "drivers side"... anyone know where i can buy a new one not, used from Ebay?
Some of my gearhead friends kind of belittle it. But they also complain about the mpg's of their full size trucks a lot. It is what it is... for a daily driver it makes WAY more sense. I've been taking mine with the family and ski gear on trips. Fits wet and muddy equipment in the bed just...
It's fine though. I had to use the "almost full size spare" for a day and couldn't tell the difference while driving. I was annoyed after learning it wasn't an exact match... but it is way better than a donut. I'd have no fear driving a couple hundred miles on it
'23 FX4. 5 months, 6000 miles. Zero problems. Done some pretty serious off roading- only issue was the front spoiler picked up a bunch of sand. I've done truck stuff carried large loads that wouldn't fit in any suv. Love the truck. Currently in winter getting 24mpg, with 87 octane and...
I love the rotary shifter and cannot understand the hate. It takes up less room and allows for faster shifting. I have never shifted by mistake. Imo it's a total improvement.
With that said I do admire your work installing the f150 shifter. Variety is the spice of life
It's likely that it was installed improperly. I have a Ford soft tonneau, put it on myself, without even using the weather stripping and it stays dry in the bed, through heavy rain - driving and parked facing up and downhill. Have used soft tonneaus for 20 years with little to no water intrusion.
Guys im really putting that bed to use today! /s. All seriousness though, ive already carried boxes and a moto that would not fit in an suv. And that net in the picture is great, 1st time using it
