Def go work for a hedge fund because you're doing better than they are on average. You could be making big bucks. To be clear, I think you are either mistaken, Cherry picking certain years or are just full of it. Pretty much every hedge fund is trying to do what you claim to be pulling off but...
while long term I agree with you guys fully if I was literally about to retire I might consider going a little more conservative than I might have otherwise gone. not pulling out of the market, just more conservative investments. long term it's index funds all the way for me. they are pretty...
a heat pump would have helped in a lot of scenarios but that would have added to the cost. my other vehicle (plug in hybrid) can operate full electric with the heat on as long as it isn't really cold (<10F or somewhere around there).
how do we know the hardware is going to rust??
and the weather stripping might help but I'm not sure it is 100% necessary. maybe at some point after it's been installed for a while I'll check into how much stuff got in there :P
I don't mind if people don't want change their own oil. It's just never going to be faster to bring it to the dealer because it just takes to long, has to be at a certain time, etc.
If it's physically difficult for someone to do I get it. But anyone arguing about it being a time savings needs to do the math. Every time I'm at the dealer I regret it. Last time I was at the Toyota dealer I spent 30 minutes just waiting for their driver to show up and give me a ride to...
I haven't done an oil change on the maverick yet but on my other cars the time savings of doing it myself is worth it. Every time I go to the dealer I either need to get a ride or wait. Plus I need to drive there and back. Active time doing an oil change is probably 20 minutes. While the oil...
I suspect the change oil indicator is based on miles and time. Time is actually not an important factor on it's own but it is likely if you don't hit a lot of miles in a year that you did a lot of short cycling of the engine which is harder on the oil. In other words, it's probably a good idea...
