CarMax offered more $$ and the dealership honored their offer and credited their offer towards my purchase. Seemed unusual to me too but I got much more trade in this way.
The Ford dealership dropped off the ‘24 today at CarMax and got paid for it according to the sales manager.
Can you believe that the trade in offer was for $22.4k from the same Ford Dealership? Dealership claimed that they had several FWD on the lot already. In the end, the dealership sold it to CarMax, and I got a better trade in value as a result. It is an interesting way to "trade-in" a car.
