Many dealers use the local locksmith too, because they already have that relationship established thru their used car business. I assume Ford does make them at least initially procure the needed equipment, however.
Video reenforces just how well balanced the Hybrid is compared to many pickups. The HV battery weight does help this I assume. No added weight in bed. Would be interesting to compare with the EB Maverick.
With the hybrid, I think it's more important to use a high quality fuel than a high octane. There is no science behind better mileage from high octane in the Maverick hybrid unless it's pure gas meaning ethanol free and you can get that in regular grade many places where you can get non-ethanol...
I've always found that getting promptly up to speed or a little above the speed where you want to cruise and then letting off and keep it (the accelerator pressure) light until the engine starts again seems to yield the best mileage. Once the engine fires up again, then take it back up slightly...
If you should decide the 2.0 EB is for you, I would then recommend the 2025 as it is now dual injected (both port and direct). Should eliminate the worry of carbon encrusted valves down the road. I know it is pricier but, this and the various upgrades probably make it worth it, assuming you're...
You just wasted my time, bumping this old thread. Not many people have this dilemma today as Mavericks are pretty much available and there is no sense in taking delivery hoping to resell breaking even or better. Just reorder an XL and let the dealer keep the XLT.
Does the '25 XL also still come with the full size wheel for a spare tire if you opt for the Co-pilot 360? It makes the 360 on the XL an excellent value with the power mirrors. Lower insurance rates may even defray it's cost.
I think what Allen is saying is: you can inspect all you want to see if they're different, but we will not know how they really hold up for a while. Hopefully, any changes to them have solved the problem.
I'm guessing this is old publication standard from the days when the A/C system did not see any use in winter. Nowadays, anytime you select the defrost mode on vehicles (Maverick included) or if the humidity gets too high, the A/C compressor will operate to lower humidity in the vehicle. This...
If you have your two fobs, you can program two more yourself in the Maverick center console. If four have been previously programmed, then you will have to see your dealer or a locksmith.
The manual dimmable mirror on the Maverick is the only one of several I've had over my life time that seems to be a long reach, I don't know if it's the windshield rake or I'm just getting old. A state of the art automatic one would be nice and should have been standard on the Lariat and...
Did not know auto dimming side mirrors were even a thing. I never had an auto dimming mirror that was as responsive as a flick of my fingers. Auto dimming side mirrors would be more useful IMO.
