  1. Maverick Raptor! How We Imagine It

I......think I would buy one, actually
  2. Cyber Orange Maverick prototype spotted

Yeah, I specifically want something quite understated. I'm glad there's an option for folks who want more styling, and I'm glad there's an option for folks who don't. I don't really see the point of trying to continue comparing these two beyond that.
  3. Cyber Orange Maverick prototype spotted

Good catch, I hadn't really considered that. I'm more of a black/white fan myself, but I am intrigued by the orange.
  4. Cyber Orange Maverick prototype spotted

Maverick spotted in black, and you can peak a Cyber Orange Maverick in the background.
  5. Aftermarket Options?

    That's great info - thanks!
  6. Aftermarket Options?

I'm new to modifying vehicles, but I'd certainly be interested in raising a Maverick up maybe 1"/1.5". What kind of costs are generally associated with a lift kit? And is it normal to experience any issues by doing so/voiding warranties?
  7. Base Maverick XL Pickup Spied with Steelies, FWD, Unique Grille! + First Ever Maverick Video

I don't know if the driver at 1:00 in the video is quite tall or not, but that's the seat/vision line I'd hope for. The other drivers look like they're barely able to see over the driver/passenger windows.
  8. Speculation on Size

I'm currently driving a 2012 Edge (Crossover, not trim), which comes in a whopping 76"W x 67"H x 185"L. Pulling into even normal parking spaces is quite a pain, and the hood seems to go on into the horizon anytime I need try and be careful what's in front of me. So if a Maverick can gain me a...
  9. What type of aftermarket goodies are you hoping for?

It's crazy how in-line Mav buyers are with needs. A slight lift and ladder rack would be absolutely perfect for me. Ideally I could get a cap w/ racks integrated to that, with ladders expanding over the truck cab. That way getting my kayak on/off and keeping wet gear in the bed would be a...
  10. Ford Maverick Full Uncovered Look @ Side & Rear 3/4 in Area 51 color!

I personally like what I see from the Mav, and I don't think I would drive a Santa Cruz even they gave just gifted me one. That being said, to each their own and if the Cruz is your thing, go for it.
  11. Ford Maverick Full Uncovered Look @ Side & Rear 3/4 in Area 51 color!

Yeah, perhaps it's just wishful thinking on my part and the bumper flare is more stylistic. For me - and this is a purely unresearched opinion - it feels like the truck bed is such an underutilized and under-developed area in the auto industry. Maybe in the past 10 or so years have manufacturers...
  12. Ford Maverick Full Uncovered Look @ Side & Rear 3/4 in Area 51 color!

I think you're right. The black trim under/around the bumper definitely seems oversized, so I wonder what they've got up their sleeve in terms of a feature.
  13. Ford Maverick Full Uncovered Look @ Side & Rear 3/4 in Area 51 color!

Damn, I've got no complaints here. That's a great looking compact, though I'm not a fan of the Area 51 color. It'll be black or white for me. And I'll definitely cross my fingers for a package that heightens the ride. Besides that I'm sold.
  14. 2022 Ford Maverick Pickup Caught Nearly Fully Revealed! 📸

This thing is looking really fantastic. There's a neighbor nearby who drives a Sport Trac and it continues to drive my enthusiasm for this. Especially since it won't have that gaudy "slope" that the Trac did. That being said, if there's an outdoor package that lifts the truck to sit a bit...
  15. Maverick competitors: What will you be cross-shopping?

The new Frontier, and as a last resort, a legacy Ridgeline would be my fallbacks. I do like the redesign of the 2021 Ridgeline, but it starting at $40k is just lunacy. Man if Subaru redid the Baja I'd be all over it!
  16. Maverick off-road package trim ("Timberline / Tremor"?) to be offered

I think you're probably on the right track with this pricing. They'll likely make the most basic package under $20K to wow people, but get that sticker much higher much more quickly once the customer starts adding in fairly standard creature comforts. Before they know it they're in for over $30k...
  17. What will be the make or break specs for you on the Maverick?

For me it'll be size. I truly want something compact. Ideally it'll have higher-than-average ground clearance as I prefer to sit up higher than traditional layouts, but as long as it won't feel like I'm steering a boat I think i'll be pleased. That being said, if they throw on all sorts of weird...
  18. Junk in the trunk?

I think you're pretty spot on with a lot of your points, and I should be ready to spend on the higher-end of $20k's to have my Maverick outfitted to limit the amount of compromises I'm willing to make for my needs. Thankfully, a total price of ~$29,000 actually feels pretty fair to me if it...
  19. Ford Maverick Pickup Truck Renderings / Photoshop

I'm not sure what leads me to believe this, but that rendering just feels the most accurate of any else I've seen. And if that's so, this will be the first new car I ever buy. I love it. I like that the rear door trim almost gives them impression of the bed not being a unibody.
  20. Car and Driver thoughts on Ford Maverick pickup

I'm new here and found this forum from a Yahoo article, and I'm so glad I did. If the speculation is true the Maverick is just about exactly what I've been pining for. I live right on the border between heavy suburbia and the mountains and spend my time pretty equally in both, so I've been dying...
