(Btw, admin, I HATE it when you move a relevant post like this to a section that gets little attention. If I wanted it in TRIPS I would have put it there. It's not about the trip, it's about how great of a roadtrip vehicle the Maverick is)
I made a quick trip from northern Indiana where I live...
Made the trip over to Ft Wayne (Indiana) for dinner at an Irish pub and then some shoe shopping, and while getting ready to head for home we noticed another Cactus Gray Mav pulling in. Had a nice chat with the owner, who, like me, is wildly pleased with his Ecoboost truck. As we were talking, he...
My Maverick likes to honk for various reasons that I don't understand, which is really annoying (the honking, not my lack of understanding) so I fixed the problem!
No more honking.
I'll tape up the connections later.
I've got almost 8,000 miles on my CG XLT AWD 4K, and I LOVE it!
I recently made a trip from northern Indiana to Nashville Tennessee and back. With the high price of gas, I decided to try some hypermiling on the way down. I zeroed the mpg computer and then did everything I could to minimize fuel...
I'm not looking to trade mirrors, just looking for info -
My ongoing quest to replace my drivers side mirror has proven to be quite complicated. I don't want the blindspot inset mirror, I want the full, single mirror. But since I don't have Copilot 360 (with BLIS) I get the inset mirror...
I 3D printed a cool faceted pot a week ago (original post here) and put a faux succulent plant in it to mount of the dashboard of my Cactus Gray XLT... but the plant wasn't quite as fun as I wanted, so I went to another Hobby Lobby and found some better ones in stock. Here's what the new one...
Today makes 2 weeks since I picked up my Maverick and have about 1,000 miles on it now. It still exceeds my expectations, and I love spending time in it... but about half the time I put it in 'drive' and pull away, I forget to hit that pesky button with the 'circle A' on it, and when I do forget...
I like and really appreciate vehicles with personality, and I think the Maverick has lots of it.
I find it really cool that they had the courage to include the faceted dashboard element... it's a very quirky and unusual thing to do. Do you love it, or hate it?
My wife has a Jeep Renegade Deserthawk, and we have a small succulent in a pot on the dashboard as a unique deco (kinda like how VW Beetles often have a flower) - so... when I picked up my Cactus Gray XLT AWD Maverick last Saturday, I got to thinking about the same idea since both our vehicles...
Today I had my 8 day old Maverick spend a little bonding time with my homebuilt (experimental) 'Baby Ace' airplane. It was built in 1993 and I bought it one year ago.
I love both of these excellent machines : )
Went flying today too (the phone takes pix that make the wood prop look crazy...
I've had my Cactus Gray AWD XLT for 6 days now, and for the last couple days It's been kinda cold and snowy in northern Indiana. I took this pic during lunch as the ole girl looked a bit frozen. She sure drives great in the snow and the slick - I love this little truck!
A couple observations...
I only have a little over 300 miles on my Cactus Gray XLT, but I've already become intoxicated with Sport Mode!
I see info that suggests about a 6 second 0-60 time when you also have the 4K tow package (due to different gear ratios) but, just like I experienced with a 2014 Escape we had with...
Took delivery yesterday of this CG XLT AWD with 4K Tow and spray-in bedliner, and I love it(!)... just a few minor gripes, but in almost all ways, the Mav exceeds my expectations.
One of the gripes is the side mirrors. While I understand that most people like the additional small blindspot...
