YouTube video for those impatiently waiting on their Maverick. No its not a Hollywood-level production, but it hits the cords of many folks still waiting (I just got mine of 3/4/23).
EDIT: Just to clarify. I didn't make this video, just found it on YouTube. All kudos to the creator...
Got this OEM Ford plug and other swag (cap, 2 water bottles) from Ford's merchandise site after they gave me a $100 coupon in December for delay in building my Mav.
Installed on my 2023 Atlas Blue. When it gets warmer thinking red-outlined/black letters to tie into the brake lights and black trim.
Man I feel for those of you with loooong transportation times. I expected the same 4~8 week time frame for the Mav to get to my dealer.
In fact mine got to the dealer so early I had just started to detail my current 2009 Rav4 for trade-in. Now it seems the Chicagoland area is getting more...
I picked it up last Saturday as planned but family issues sidetracked me from posting a photo till now (and I know its not real on forums until you post a photo).
Waiting for some sunnier days and will post pics of door openings, etc to show the Atlas Blue with interior for those who are...
I agree a manual transmission is probably a reach due to development costs and EPA certification, but how about paddle shifters for the 8-spd automatic. I'm not up-to-date on the Bronco Sport or Escape but do seem to remember them being available within the last few years (or maybe it was...
My Hybrid Lariat with Lux pkg/CP360/CP360Assist and block heater, etc has arrived at the dealership. Of course that's after waiting for over 16 months for my 2022 order to roll over to MY2023. Picking it up Saturday after a snow storm here on Friday.
Just some stats on my build/transpo time...
I'll admit when you folks mention SoC (is that State of Charge") and other "Hybridy"things my brain starts to fog over. But I'm learning more as I read threads like this one (and am getting a Hybrid).
I'm an old-school ICE type of guy where the a wheel dyno would help determine the TQ/HP...
The accolades just keep on coming. I saw this in the C&D magazine I recently got, and located an online article with video (linked).
While every once in awhile these professional reviewers get things wrong (like the 1983 Renault Alliance), but they've been very complementary on the Maverick...
For the second year in a row they named the Maverick the best in the compact truck category. This follows the 2022 Maverick winning the category last year also.
The video lists both winning SUVs and Trucks. The Maverick coverage begins at approx the 3min mark in video.
Its not unusual to have the build week date bounce around when its still 45~60 days out. As you get closer to production date you'll get a VIN email from Ford (or you can call/chat with Ford CSR for the VIN) and can track it down to the actual build day as it gets closer.
Check out some of...
I haven't been to that dealership in years, but its within 20 miles of me and I drive by often. A friend was interested in a high-mileage Pontiac Soltice GXP on their lot, but we both got weird feelings when talking to the staff and quickly left. They insisted it was a GXP, but didn't have the...
Its already happened with Mavericks. In mid-December Ford announced Hybrid orders can be changed to an EcoBoost drivetrain to increase the chances of their order being built in 2023.
That sounds to me as a more "buildable order" for some who newly ordered a 2023 Hybrid in September 2022. But...
I'll watch the final couple of races on MavTV Saturday night, I think its a 2 hour show. I don't normally follow midget racing, but the Chili Bowl is a big event for those drivers so they race especially hard, and I enjoy most forms of auto racing where the competition is tight.
I enjoy...
Just happened to see this article on Car&Driver website. Looks like this manufacturer has a tight relationship with Toyota but they do offer covers for Honda Elements and Accords, so they aren't a captive manufacturer. Just thought folks would like to see whats becoming available in the...
It looks nice and classy! Congrats from a fellow northern Illinoisan. Ordered mine on 10/30/21 (got a VIN but got rolled over to 2023).
Make sure to let us know how it handles the our Midwest snow, ice and winter weather. You may get to test it this upcoming holiday weekend if the snow...
Interesting video on industry-wide recall issues.
Mavericks have had their share of recalls during the first production year (MY22), but I hope the number of recalls is reduced as MY23 rolls out.
Ford CSR I just spoke to confirmed my 2023 rollover order and also gave me my $2750 Private Offer Certificate number. But she won't give me the priority code explaining that they are not trained to answer that question and I should contact my dealer.
But then she said I could guess what my...
Thanks for posting these commercials, I needed some laughs today. I'd never seen them so surfed in internet to see if there was more.
I'll pay-it-forward with a link to a YouTube video that has multiple Trunk Monkey ads in one place, got to be 10+ ads. Enjoy!
I'd think by next Spring there will be a better contingent of Maverick owners in northern Illinois (and NW Indiana, etc). I'd be interested in attending whether I have my 2023 rollover or not. Even if I don't have mine yet I can to see the different colors, trim levels, accessories added, etc...
Thanks for the review! I'm still waiting on a similar build as mine was pushed into MY2023.
Please keep us updated on MPGs as you get more familiar with the Hybrid drivetrain in your Lariat Lux Hybrid. I think the EV coach will help the transition to the Hybrid driving techniques.
