I agree it's a possibility, however my dealer claims that allocation isn't an issue. Only Ford knows the reason and they're not talking.
One other thing crossed my mind about EBs not getting scheduled. This is pure speculation based on weak anecdotal evidence that more hybrids are getting...
Same here for my XLT EB. In early February my dealer said it should be scheduled soon since it's not a hybrid. Yet somehow Ford is not scheduling a lot of EBs even though they are supposed to have a lot of capacity.
What bothers me most is that Ford can't even give us a window of time (say 1...
I'm prepared to have another disappointing Thursday. I should have never expected an XLT EB to get scheduled just because Ford said they had more capacity than orders. It seems that Ford's highest capacity is in producing disappointment.
I feel bad for you guys. At this point there should be no excuse for Ford not scheduling anyone who ordered in '21, and dealer allocations shouldn't matter.
Well, I haven't tried to do a count of those scheduled, and I know this forum isn't a good statistical sampling, but it sure looks like a lot of hybrids got scheduled. I'm happy for those that got scheduled, especially the rollovers, but it seems like a lot of EBs (like mine) still aren't...
I agree with your comments since I can relate to most of them. I have one vehicle that needs work, but I plan on getting rid of it if/when I get the Mav, so I don't want to put any more money into it. My 2nd vehicle got hit by some distracted moron, and I need something that has more towing...
I had a loaner '22 Escape with the 1.5L. The acceleration was acceptable, but it was loud and the worst sounding engine that I've ever experienced. I would not buy a vehicle with it.
It's interesting that my 2014 Escape has the felt wheel well liners on the rear and plastic on the front. I don't drive a lot of gravel/dirt roads, but the felt has held up. My complaint with the felt is that it is absorbent and holds dirt and salt. It takes a lot of flushing to clean them...
My dealer assures me that they have the allocations, yet my EB order isn't scheduled. It's XLT too, so they should be pumping out lots of them. So, yes, Ford is screwing over some of us who should have the best chance of getting scheduled.
For what it's worth, I got a loaner vehicle from the Ford dealer today and the almost new Escape with 7900 miles on it has a very rusty exhaust except for the rear muffler which is somewhat visible from the back. My 2014 Escape with 80,000 miles and multiple salty winters has a better looking...
I also got my 3rd 45 day email today. I feel bad for those who have been waiting over a year, but if my EB doesn't get scheduled in the next couple of months I'll start considering alternatives.
