  1. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

Yes it is! That definitely helps to a degree. Although, full weight and full exhaust, I did 13.19 3 different times in a row, ranging from +100 to -2700DA, lol. Here is my last pass I did. It was -900 I think....
  2. Exhaust Upgrade -- Short vs. Long Term Plans

You didn't know two members who have both posted in this very subsection that they have gone 12s? Please enlighten me how your wife's 13.2 is faster than my 12.75. Because no track timing system has ever had a fault, right? While your at it, show me a dragy run anyone has done at a track, that...
  3. Exhaust Upgrade -- Short vs. Long Term Plans

I don't know, I've done enough drag strip passes to see how insanely accurate they are to not question the times off of them. I'm not sure if people are trying to use a faster car's dragy runs to pretend their vehicle is faster than it is, or what, but I know for a fact at the track my Mav will...
  4. Exhaust Upgrade -- Short vs. Long Term Plans

I love it when the "no weight reduction" gets used from Mr. Buschur. "My truck has no weight reduction, but I did have my wife drive 45 minutes to the track to drive it so I could save 100lbs!" His truck is not the quickest or the fastest Maverick, he just uses a technicality to claim this...
  5. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

    Oops, missed the 12.89 pass....
  6. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Small December 1st update! I had a chance to do some weight reduction with the E30 tune, and it's progressing pretty nicely! This is the base E30 tune, to go along with my other mods, and QuickRik put down some decent passes! Newest fastest pass now [email protected]!
  7. Transmission Failure Issues?

Hi guys, I'm starting this thread because I want to get a good understanding of if we will have issues with the transmissions in these cars, and if we do, in what state of condition the Mav is in when it has the issues. I have not had any issues with the Maverick yet, but today I was told that...
  8. CARB (California) Legal Intakes

California is an absolute cluster. Your best bet is to leave. I understand, as I live in Illinois, hahaha. They have pushed such ridiculous legislation that it makes it damn near impossible for people to meet their requirements, and it's not trending in our favor, and probably never will...
  9. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

I don't think ForScan can. My tunes do not have a speed limiter.
  10. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

I don't think there would be a difference in power if it's built to make it. It's no different than a 2.0 4g63 vs a 2.3. Both of those have made well over 1000whp. I'm not looking to go anywhere even near 500whp, so at the end of the day it won't matter to me unless I build one for speed, and...
  11. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

I would 100% keep the 2.0. It is a closed deck design, and superior to the 2.3, except for displacement. However, that trans!!!!! I want that soooo bad! But I can't afford it. I'm already running 12's for well under $1k in parts and tune, and I haven't even put the Corsair turbo on yet....
  12. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

LSchicago, the thing that may hold us back is the trans. At some point we are going to find it's weak spot! We are pushing it WAY harder than it was meant to be pushed. The 10R80 Is an absolute beast of a trans! My 18 f150 ran 11s in a crew cab, trans just laughed at me....
  13. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

Lol, no. I think the end of the quarter mile was in fifth gear.
  14. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

Look at the right side of the blue bullets. The bottom one is quarter mile. The listing of bullet points goes down the left side, then down the right side. I guess it can be confusing if you aren't used to the dragy layout.
  15. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

??? Look at the slip, it is 100% a 1/4 mile slip. At the track with a lot worse DA it went [email protected]
  16. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Damnit, Ivan just beat me by .01 seconds! Freaking love it! Insane potential in these truckettes!
  17. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

I don't have an exact weight, but the seats are about 85-90#, cat back was about 30, and tailgate was about 55-60#, guessing.... My intercooler is 25# heavier than stock.
  18. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

Just posted the quickest and fastest Maverick times! [email protected]! These truckettes are awesome!!!!
  19. Another 12 second Maverick -- 93 octane with weight reduction

Backed it up with a couple more runs. Narrowly taking the title for fastest Mav! [email protected]! Ivan and myself have so damn quick Mav's!!! Also why I named mine QuickRik, lol. Another 12.96, followed by the 12.91.
  20. Project QuikRik. My Velocity Blue XL AWD Performance build

It's been a minute, but I have an update. I have made it to the 12 second club! I ran a [email protected], followed up by a [email protected] Still 93 octane, with incedible DA, and some good weight loss! I will be getting my E30 tune soon, so these numbers will only get better! After the E30 tune gets some...
