I was able to view the XL EcoBoost version of the Maverick today in person, although I didn't get to drive it because it belonged to one of the service dept. guys. For those of us who opted to be in the Carbonized Gray Club, we should stand in a big circle and pat one another on the back for our choice. The Maverick presents VERY WELL in this color, and it's a sharp looking truck for being the entry level model. I wasn't sure what to expect seeing this truck in person...would it be too big, too small? The Maverick falls into that "just right" category in terms of truck size. I'll stand by my original statement on this forum of saying the gray made the truck look beefy. I was expecting little wimpy tires, but the steelies really do pull it off, and you can get different rims from the dealer once your truck arrives. Something to think about. I also like the darker interior of the XL over the XLT/Lariat models (though I didn't get to see either of those in person.) The seats are a dark gray, almost black, and the interior seems a bit darker blue with dark gray accents where all the plastic is. The XL is a solid choice!!

Added Line-X since that picture and swapped the factory continentals for 235/65R17 Falken Wildpeaks. Truxedo Pro X 15 s/b on for the weekend!

After ordering a cactus gray XLT 4k/FX4 on 9/30 I was able to see a carbon gray lariat 4k/FX4 at a local dealer and decided to buy it and not wait. I kicked myself for not ordering a lariat in the first place because I thought I would hate the activex seats. After seeing them in person I am happy to say they are great and seem to be a durable material. I also love the extra lariat features like push button start, ambient lighting, and power rear window.

About 2 weeks ago Ford sent me a voucher for $3500 off any left over F150s and $750 off any other vehicle. I was able to buy the truck at MSRP and also use the voucher for $750 off. My ford dealer was great to work with and the truck was only on the lot for 1 day.

My family loves the size of the truck and the fact that it fits in my 2 car garage and it's easier to park. I have also got a few questions from people asking what truck it is. It's funny how Ford has decided not to market it and hide it from the public. I can only assume the internet is enough for them to get orders.

Next on the mod list is a Bullet spray in bed liner.

I'm guessing that since Ford is closing down orders on 22 Mavericks they don't need to advertise for this year! Maybe in the new year they might need to with MY23. Come to think of it I don't recall seeing any TV ads for the Bronco either! I learned about the Bronco and Maverick online! :)

When I first saw the Maverick on YouTube, I was hell-bent on getting the Area 51 color, then backed off and decided Cactus Gray. After viewing a pie chart of color popularity on this website, I think I'm going to back off on those colors and go for Carbonized Gray instead. I'd just as soon not have a color that sticks out and gets peoples' attention. Having said that, Carbonized Gray is an AWESOME color, makes this truck look beefy, and goes very well with the XLT interior.
After going thru the same color choices, I also landed on CGM because I thought it looked better with the interior and because the color gives Maverick a cool look!

I’m in the club as of today. Found locally at MSRP not market adjustment. Couldn’t wait any longer for a build date.

I agree with you on the XL interior! I wish it was available on the XLT level too.

Looks great. Stressing over changing my CG Hybrid from XLT to a bare bones XL. Would save about $4000 and make it a pure utilitarianian burget purchase (a plus). Only hangup is the steelies. But seeing pics like this, they are starting to grow on me. Hmm!

Picked her up tonight. No long review, it’s all been said. Bottom line is this vehicle is an excellent value.
