Skip to 9:30 for when he gets out of the kiddie-pool and goes to the high board. Not quite a Jeep Gladiator, but will get you there through most stuff. :)

There are a couple of issues with the truck and offroading.

1. Tires suck.
2. No rear diff lock.
3. No articulation.

All can be fixed.

I thought It had Independent rear.
One of the slow reverse segments passenger rear tire left the ground by 10+ inches.
Part of my driveway is a steep as where it couldn't make it. The front passenger wheel would spin out with no assist from the rear. Something must be wrong with the transfer to the rear.
Why not take it through a couple of those puddles.
Why are the there? Out in the pasture or woods you can't always drive around them.
That was no off road test, it was a muddy equivalent to winter driving in Wisconsin.

It does have IRS. As such, it has articulation. I'm sure that JASmith meant that it doesn't have articulation as generally understood by off-roaders.

Those tires are the FX4 "milder' version of the Wildpeaks, I wonder if the beefier version of those or the Cooper AT3's would have made any difference in those wet/slippery conditions ?

The tires he has are technically "off road" tires but in reality they are more like super aggressive all season tires than competent off road or mud tires. They are to KO2's what Falken wildpeak trails are to AT3W's.

For the average person who might need to drive in muddy conditions or heavy snow, but spends most of their time on the highway those kinds of tires are great. (it's what I'm getting because it suits my needs).

It would be fun to see what it can do with serious mud tires, but beyond that the stock truck is the wrong tool for the job.

Wouldn't putting light pressure on the brake pedal (two foot driving) lock the wheels up better than what the computer is doing and get you through those tough uphill parts?

I wonder why they took off the AT3Ws that came with the upgraded wheels and put these on.
