How is the ride. Seems people are complaining about the Eibachs on Hybrids, I have mine here at the house just holding off on the install for more feedback.I'm in. Received my '23 XL Hybrid on 12/31/22. Took it straight home and lowered it with 12.1 miles on it.
Eibach Pro springs, powder coated 19" wheels from an Escape, Bak F4x tonneau, Rockford Fosgate speakers, window tint...
Need to paint the bumpers side skirts and door handles soon.
I haven't seen anyone complain about the ride with Eibachs, but nobody seems happy with Scale or Silver. How is the ride. Seems people are complaining about the Eibachs on Hybrids, I have mine here at the house just holding off on the install for more feedback.
I don't know where the disconnect is but you can can find those that feel the exact opposite about the Eibach/hybrid setup and are touting the ride is horrible. I will paraphrase a private chat with a member here who had his installed.I haven't seen anyone complain about the ride with Eibachs, but nobody seems happy with Scale or Silver.
I had these wheels and tires on my EcoBoost for a few weeks before my Hybrid got here, so I feel genuinely qualified to tell you that the ride quality of the Eibachs is almost imperceptible versus stock. The handling, of course is very evident.
The change in ride quality is absolutely due to the shorter sidewall of my 19's. I drove both trucks stock and with the 19's, then drove the hybrid with the 19's and the Eibachs.
It's a tradeoff for sure - factory ride with factory tires, or a stiffer ride (due to short sidewall) with noticeable handling improvement.
Regarding Eibach ride, EB vs Hybrid, there should be no difference. All of the suspension is identical but the hybrid drive train is SLIGHTLY heavier. Should, in theory, ride better unless it's hitting thr bump stops.
Apparently I've missed every post (not hard to do) regarding complaints about Eibach ride quality. Have seen literally ZERO.I don't know where the disconnect is but you can can find those that feel the exact opposite about the Eibach/hybrid setup and are touting the ride is horrible. "While it doesn't look too low, the truck is basically riding on the bumpstops. I've had many lowered vehicles but this ride is horrible"
Look, obviously I like the look, that's why I bought the springs before I even had the truck, but this is not the first member that is completely unhappy with the ride on the hybrid/Eibach and apparently the rear suspension setup vs the eco boost is the main culprit. The question is: Would you know a bad ride if it hit you in the face, or are you just really good at the installation? Ha!
Seems like you took my post the wrong way. Good to see there are those out there that are having no issues. Thanks.Apparently I've missed every post (not hard to do) regarding complaints about Eibach ride quality. Have seen literally ZERO.
Pretty sure I'm familiar with lowered vehicles. Have even fabricated my own suspensions on hot rods. I'm pretty picky about ride quality.
But hey, you're the expert who hasn't installed the springs.
My apologies then, it reads pretty snarky.Seems like you took my post the wrong way. Good to see there are those out there that are having no issues. Thanks.
Hey thanks! I am not sure how my truck even got posted in this thread but that is great.@Cactus_Jack22 yours is my favorite lowered Mav to date. Love the stance and the wheels you chose.
