I got my XL a spray-in liner a couple weeks ago from the local Line-X dealer and then installed the Molle bedside rack. I must say it looks great and is very functional. If you go the spray-in route just make sure that whoever you have do it removes all bolts, covers, etc. out of the bed before spraying...

This past weekend I took a road trip with a charity group. I did this trip for many years with my Subaru and it's always a fun time. We drove through backroads in NJ, NY, VT, NH and MA. We raising a bunch of money for Make A Wish and I was the only Maverick on the trip haha. Just about 1k miles from Saturday morning until Sunday night. The Mav did great.

Time to see how the Maverick tows. This is either at 4K or a little over.

The Maverick can tow 4k pounds, was it fun? No. You definitely feel all that weight when pulling and braking. Without the brake controller it would be very sketchy. It has plenty of power to pull and enough braking force but the size of the truck is the issue. Coming from a Diesel Colorado I miss all that torque and I guess how planted the Colorado was. For the occasional tows it will be fine but it's not something I would tow a long distance with.

Today was the second oil change and first tire rotation. The quickjacks pick the truck up with ease and make everything way easier. About 3200 miles on this oil. We will see what Blackstone says about it. I am switching oil to Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W40.

Any specs on the dash mat? I didn't see any mention of it and noticed other pics in pages 1-3 didn't show it installed.

Forgot to add that in here haha.

Covercraft dashmat in Cinder color. It's nice, doesn't fit as well as I want right now. I am hoping the heat will get some creases out. Part # 2337-00-79

I had a shop install everything. I had the whole front done in PPF and they installed the Lamin-X on the headlights for me. They said the Lamin-X was very thick compared to the Xpel they use.

Now that you have done several oil changes, how much a pain are the FX4 skid plates, especially for accessing the oil filter?

Does the little plastic access point work well with the fumoto valve?

I really wish there was an quick access port for the filter or even better would be a top loading canister filter.....that would make oil changes even quicker/easier

It's not that bad to remove. 6 bolts and 4 screws. As long as you have the truck high enough off the ground it makes it a lot easier. I have never used the plastic access point. It doesn't look like it would work with the valve. I want to cut a hole in the skid for the oil drain, I don't plan on going off-road so a 5 inch diameter hole wouldn't be a big deal to me. I have seen oil filter relocation kits I might look into it more just to make the oil change easier.

Here is a photo of my dashmat from Covercraft. It doesn't as well as I would hope. There is a crease in it. Hoping the warmer weather will get the crease out.

First oil analysis from the OEM oil. Only 364 miles on this oil.
