@JJC's build just got elevated to another level of customization with his custom hood scoop / vent install!

Still need to fit the water tray, waiting on my dremel to recharge

My truck is on order. No vin yet. I originally ordered carbonized gray. Then realized it was just too dark. I looked at cactus grey in a lot of pictures. Thought that would be nice. Finally saw it in person on a bronco sport at my local dealer. It looked nothing like the photos. My heart sank, I wasnt into it at all. Not what I thought it would look like. The dealer had an iconic silver maverick lariat ordered for a customer that just came in, so I looked at that.

WoW!!! That silver popped so nice in the light. It just blew me away. Plus it went very well with the dark blue interior pieces as well. So I changed my color a 2nd time lol. No Vin number, so I still got a choice. So i want to join your iconic silver club and join in your reindeer games. What I have on order now is an Iconic Silver XLT, 2.0T, AWD, 2K tow hitch, full size spare, in cab power inverter.

The one that got away. Saw this one on a lot back in October of last year but at that point I was still naively holding out for a hybrid.

Here’s my silver XL.

I was going to rattle can my silver steelies with a metallic gray using Duplicolor, but was waiting until I bought some tires to replace the Conti’s.

I came across someone in the region who was selling some faux steelies from a Bronco Sport Badlands, minimal miles on the Wildpeaks. I figured what the heck, I find these ‘steelies’ looks attractive and have a more durable presence.

Ordered September 9, delivered January 13.
Only option is a full size spare. Spray in liner done locally. Really happy with it. 30 mile trip to work each way. Gentle hills and 30-50 mph. Routinely getting around 45 mpg. If I hit the lights right, close to 50.

Very nice! Looking forward to receiving mine at the end of the month, but I'm curious about something.

Could anyone that has received their iconic silver metallic comment on the "metallic" description? Is the paint any different from colors that do not use metallic in their descriptions? Thanks.

Picked up my Iconic Silver XL (2.0 EB) from dealer stock 11/19/21 - his nickname is Ike. As opposed to many other auto paints, metallic colors have many individual flecks, or "sparkles", that give visual appearance of depth, especially with clearcoat. No expert here, just my observation, but I like the look. Also, color goes nicely with XL steelies, also painted silver, but a solid silver, not "metallic".

On a sunny day, when the truck is clean, yeah, there is a slight metal flake look to it.
The color, or reflection, seems to be influenced a bit by whatever colors are around. Sharp looking on a sunny day.
