  1. Consensus on preferred engine oil?

There is no consenus on oil, much like politics or religion.
  2. Only dumb people buy Ford Mavericks.....

As a person from the Heart of Dixie, there ain't no costal elite on the Gulf of America.
  3. Only dumb people buy Ford Mavericks.....

I would expect no less out of that crowd. I cannot use an all electric vehicle as I have a one-way commute of 430 miles and ZERO chargers on the route. I can charge at the house and at my work RV but nowhere in between even if I was willing to waste time sitting at a charger. There is no...
  4. Only dumb people buy Ford Mavericks.....

I added my mav to my fleet to save money/wear on my other vehicles, I'm doing about a 1,000 miles a week. I have to say when I do drive my other vehicles it feels like a waste now. The mav can't haul the loads nor do the off-road of my other rides but it really does have its place in my life now.
  5. The Motor Oil Geek: Transmission and Gear Oil Change Interval / Frequency Analysis

This asinine sentance tells you all you need to know about the poster. Your "clue" is they used science? WTF Actually Lake owns the oil analysis company, yes he is promoting his service via youtube, but that does not mean his is producing fake test results. He is advocating a person...
  6. What’s the ONE piece of advice you’d give to a new Maverick owner?

Not entirely sure, but it is entertaining.
  7. Front recovery hooks - Non-FX4

I have not bought the factory tow hooks but I have no reason to dispute ford's documentation. I went off on a tangent using tow bar attachments as recovery attachments.
  8. Blackstone Labs Oil Analysis Comparison at 10k Miles

Wow couple of science deniers here. The oil geek would be sad with both of you. Ya know oil filters are a recent thing, not installed on mass produced cars till the 1940's. Conspiracy theory I SAY! Stuff floating in your oil! outragous.
  9. Blackstone Labs Oil Analysis Comparison at 10k Miles

Hmm... I am under the opposite impression that the GM one is a smart algorithm. My 2018 F350 goes off every 10K no matter the load or time.
  10. Blackstone Labs Oil Analysis Comparison at 10k Miles

Well not the worst oil thread I've seen, it hit all the bases. I like running clean oil, not worried about making my underwear last 7 days........
  11. Hauling My CR500 Dirt Bike in the Maverick Bed – Perfect Setup

To the OP, at this point I'd have to edit and add a CR500 pic. You mention one of the most iconic dirt bikes on the planet and have two ordinary bikes actually pictured. Kinda like saying you are posting a pic of the grand canyon and then come up with a drainage ditch.
  12. Hauling My CR500 Dirt Bike in the Maverick Bed – Perfect Setup

I'd put the TTR in the bed and the KTM four stroke on a hitch carrier. https://mototote.com/collections/motorcycle-hitch-carriers/products/sport-motorcycle-hitch-carrier
  13. PTU / RDU Oil Change Results @ 5K Mile Service (on 2025 Maverick LOBO)

With all sincerity here, the OP has just had problems. Others on the forum have reported heresay about RDU's of bronco sports. The OP has chunks of metal which would have totally distroyed his R&P in due time, he happened to catch it before that point. That being said those bits of metal...
  14. PTU / RDU Oil Change Results @ 5K Mile Service (on 2025 Maverick LOBO)

With that much actual metal, I'd keep changing it on short intervals. Chucks of metal is never a good sign. Some of the grey is from clutch pack wear, that torque vectoring RDU has three clutch packs in it, one for the drive shaft and one for each axle. If you can keep the metal, as the...
