  1. Wheel spacers to go from 5 lug Maverick wheel to 6 lug Bronco wheel

Use the money from the spacers to buy more gas to drive further to a set of alloy maverick or bronco sport wheels... Not like it costs much to drive far for some wheels when you have a maverick to begin with
  2. Swapping 2026 XLT rims to 2026 XL?

You'll also want to get a proper set of 20 lugnuts in M14 x 1.5in. You CAN use the steelie lugs but since they're open end the threads will be exposed to road gunk and I just feel it looks wrong. My tire guy said the steelie lugs would work but would scrape the wheel lug seats a bit each the...
  3. Swapping 2026 XLT rims to 2026 XL?

Can probably use Lincoln Corsair, Land Rover Evoque and Escape wheels too but probably different offsets. Bronco Sport wheels are the best match.
  4. Transmission Issues and Mini Chronicles

I would just make it a habit to drain and fill every 4th or 5th oil change. On every automatic I've owned I've drained the fluid at 60k (when I bought), then after that 30k miles seems to be right around the point where it starts shifting from red to brown so it seems about right, they've stayed...
  5. Tire Skip Noises after PTU/RDU Fluid Change

Initially the parts guy handed me 2 quarts of Mercon ULV after clicking around the screen for a good 15min, had to just give him the parts number to get him to get the right stuff... Which they didn't have for the RDU.
  6. Tire Skip Noises after PTU/RDU Fluid Change

Ford parts guy here asked me if the PTU and RDU were underfilled and if the fluid was black full of metal, when I requested the 2 motorcraft oils needed to drain the factory fill. I didn't mention either, but I already knew this was common and so did he. Yes they were black and full of metal...
  7. PTU & RDU both ok at 10k mile service

Most people's PTU & RDU fluids seem to stay clear after the first change, I don't think I've seen anyone that's had it as bad as the first change again in future. Ford probably penny pinched, given that my dealer was asking $137 for one quart of the 75w RDU oil (ordered on rockauto for half that).
  8. PTU & RDU both ok at 10k mile service

When I bought the fluids at the dealer, he asked me if the PTU and RDU were underfilled right off the bat. He also assumed the fluid would drain black before I mentioned anything.
  9. PTU & RDU both ok at 10k mile service

RDU & PTU fluid change on mine at 15k miles, fluid was black full of metallic black gunk all over the plug magnet. My mechanic was concerned and I told him it's pretty much expected on these on the first change. PTU wasn't so bad. Glad I had both done, but wish I did them with the first oil...
  10. Are Dash USBs powered?

Another possibility is that your phone -is- charging but it's charge rate is so low it's breaking even with the power needed to run Androidauto / carplay. I know if I have my phone on the wireless pad it doesn't actually charge upward but instead breaks even with the power drain of maps etc...
  11. Aftermarket / Custom Wheels & Tire Photos and Specs (on Maverick) -- Add Yours

My 2025 XL with Bronco Sport "Badlands" wheels, which I guess are just silver FX4 wheels. Wanted the "Big Bend" ones because they are 21lbs while these are 23lbs, but I took what I could find on marketplace. End goal is 235/70 Firestone Destination AT tires.
  12. Recomendations for snow capable tires

I went with General Altimax Arctics last winter dealing with harsh Canadian winters with sudden 6in snowfalls in one day, doing delivery work going through unplowed roads up and down mountains. Zero issues at all on the Mav, they were one of the cheapest name brand winter tire with good...
