For the gaps on eash side I cut some real rubber pipe wrap to fit the spaces on the plastic. It stuck by itself. Just don't stretch it when installing or will will curl and lift in the heat.
As
per a Ford mechanic, these are the possibilities. If your hybrid is new or have never added coolant to the degas, it probbly came from the factory low, as all the air is not purged out of the system. Over time, with driving air will get purged out. Suggestion: Fill to the Max line when...
The procedure for changing the fluid on the Hybrid is easy enough. One bolt drain, one bolt fill. No filter. Why would anyone not change the fluid at somewhere arouind 30K miles. My 150 is a bear to change with filters and no drain on the pan. Just did the third change at 90K.
Finding motorcraft anything is next to impossible unless you visit a local dealership and pay through the nose. Has anyone found an alternative meeting specification coolant/antifreeze WSS-97B57-A2 for the Maverick Hybrid?

Unfortunately, Slate went with total EV route instead of the hybrid. With winter closing in, I wonder how many people in the frozen North will be pulling the plug on the Slate.
All I can offer is my experience. My 2006 F150, bought new, is pushing 200,000 miles. Changed tranny oil every 30K. The 2010 f 150 is at 100K same intervals. I can list two or three other cars at the same intervals and never a tranmission failure or repair other than oil services. $4K...
If you do not drive your vehicle enough, you are asking for mechanical problems down the road. Internet lists about a dozen problems when cars are not driven
It's called dealerships making money. When I purchased my F150 the dealership stated the first oil change was on them. GREAT! The owners manuel stated to change the oil every 7500 miles or once a year. At 7500 miles I brought it in for the freebie. When I got the car back the sticker on the...
Here is an explanation from someone (a relative) who worked in dealerships for over 40 years in every capacity except mechanic work and service department management. He described dealerships rather accurately. "Dealerships are auto repair shops who also sell new cars on the side. " Once you...
