Trust me I get what you're saying, I live in Winnipeg, but I just find that the wipers on the Maverick look like they are not adjusted properly and completely out of whack. I used a windshield cover in the winter so I don't have a problem with snow.
I installed cargo lights via the spare plug (pigtail)on the tailgate pillars. They work for a while then stop working until I disconnect the power at the fuse box, then they work again for a while. The fuse is always good so I'm guessing the BCM keeps turning them off for some reason.
I have 2 main complaints with my Maverick, first the Dial Shifter, I find it very annoying, second the wipers that never look like they have retracted all the way, they should have gone with a counter acting wiper system.
Hopefully they will take the opportunity to correct so short comings, the 2 that come to mind are the annoying dial shifter as well as adopting counter acting wipers to replace the current system that never looks like they are fully down.
Thanks Rentman, I am aware of that, this is something else. They just loose power and won't work again until full power is cut off then hooked back up.
I have installed some lights in the box using a control board wired to one of the accessory wiring points (via pig tail) . my problem is they work for a while then they stop working . Once I remove the under hood fuse box and re-install it then they work again for a short while, then off again...
