Update: My Connected Service has now expired. Alexa still works in the truck without it the only thing that doesn't work is streaming audio via Alexa. Alexa still works and my Alexa-enabled garage door is still functional.
I currently own a VW ID.4 and Hybrid Maverick. Considering swapping the ID.4 (getting old) for a new Fathom. EV's aren't the best roadtrip cars and most likely the Fathom will only be 2WD at that price so they are not apples to apple replacements for each other.
It has some weight but not heavy enough that one person couldn't lift it. The problem is that you have to install the rails on to the box before putting in on the truck. Once the rails are on it can flex if not supported so it's a lot easier for two people to put in in the bed. Once on the bed...
Yup, I wouldn't recommend it for full bed storage. But if you're like me and open/close the cover at least once a day it's amazing.
*50lb dog fits under it...lol
Are you asking about the weight on the rails or the actual cover? The cover is aluminum and pretty thick I'm guessing it can hold at least 200lbs on it. As for the rails I've had over 200lbs on it not including the weight of the rack itself. HTH.
