In addition to reducing characters/space, it's probably a holdover from using 7-segment displays (and easier programming using 2 characters no matter where it is being displayed). Nobody setting the heat to 100+ so no need for more than two spots.

Since it's right next to the temperature setting (LOw) I would guess an issue with the HVAC system. Is it actually blowing cold air? If you have it connected to the app, any service alerts on there?

For the fire buffs... The boys at Sirennet demo'd a 55" Whelen Freedom V bar on a new Maverick. Not actually installed but interesting to see a mockup. A bit oversized since it's meant for larger vehicles. I'm not a fan of the Focus/Roto-beam either.

Aside from the obvious suspension and steering rack items, my old truck had a similar noise that turned out to be a lack of grease at the firewall seal (wore out over 10 years of use).

The sensor is in the lower grille. Look up on the passenger side. That and the marker light wiring goes to a connector on the passenger side at the fender.

Same way to stop engine brakes on big trucks without flipping switches constantly. I keep my foot on the pedal a little to coast. Extra braking power is still there on standby if something pops up (deer, idiots, etc).

That's the brakes. Might be a rock or nut stuck behind the shield.

What KIND of paint protection? Or you didn't even look? Without paperwork, you got more of a story than protection. Was it that "Zurich Shield Elite" upsell?
