I worked for the Ford Motor Co between 1978-80 in Cincinnati, Ohio. We built an automatic transmission factory for the ATX transaxle that was used in fhe Ford Escort. I worked for GE for 37 years in the advanced manufacturing group developing the technology that powered future airplanes. One of my projects was to install a metal 3D printer. We are printing parts out of Nickel powder. Each machine cost $670K and we ending up buying 150 machines.
I have been wanting to purchase a Ford Maverick for 3 years, but did not want to pay over MSRP. My new truck is now on order. Life is good.....
Took ownership of my 2025 Maverick Hybrid AWD last week (4/12/25). I received a $1900 Ford employee discount and the dealer gave me a $800 discount off of MSRP. I have put 760 miles of under 50 mph to break in the engine and my truck is telling me I'm getting 45.4 mpg. The 3 year wait was worth it, I love the 2025 upgrades.
