    Best reply in this tread!

I guess you missed the title "Effin' Screw Up'... You know, because mistook the E for an F.
  3. Effin' Screw Up

No, they didn't. It's kind of ironic as it's a key piece of evidence in their citation. They must have just run the plate as they misinterpreted it, got my VIN, ignored that that VIN is for a Ford and wrote TOY on the citation anyway. Hopefully, they'll see their honest mistake and just go...
  4. Effin' Screw Up

It's obvious only because I juxtaposed the two photos in the post, but to someone just seeing the Toyota plate, it's an easy mistake.
  5. Effin' Screw Up

Wrong again, @Dad It's available on the website that city uses to allow payment and contesting the citation.
  6. Effin' Screw Up

No, I simply got a parking ticket. That makes sense, however. I doubt the owner did it intentionally.
  7. Effin' Screw Up

Are you all not making the connection w/ the two license plates juxtaposed in the original post?
  8. Effin' Screw Up

No, the metermaid mistook the E for an F.... Look at the two plates in the photos in the original post...
  9. Effin' Screw Up

For a minute or two, that's exactly what I thought, damn, that looks so real! But then I noticed how high that lower lip on the license plate frame ran, and I was like, ohhhh.
  10. Effin' Screw Up

Prolly looked it up from the misread license plate. Along w/ the photo of the Taco tailgate, there is a photo of the dash, but there is a card over where the VIN is showing. I can't believe that he planned this, but it is a funny happenstance... (Shoot his right profile...)
  11. Effin' Screw Up

BTW, I sent a link of this post to Lancaster Toyoda and suggested they get different license plate frames. And yes, I'm contesting the citation w/ the city of Nudepork.

Got a parking ticket in the mail from the city of Newport Beach, California which is almost 400 miles from where I live. I've never been there with either of the cars that I own at the moment. The VIN on the notice matches my Mav, but the citation says, "TOY"... 0

Those lights are so cooooooooooll.... (seizure time!!)
  14. Will the insurance company declare this a total loss?

Doesn't seem that serious. I'm sure that you'll be back on the road in no time at all.
