Maverick Old Farts

I am 78 years old and have forgotten more about computers than most will ever know. Android phones give me a fit. I connected my phone wirelessly to my Maverick and it worked fine. Now I am prompted to connect a USB cable. USB C doesn't work, USB A does for my phone, but not for my music thumb drive full of MP3s. I want my wireless connection back. I would post it on the Maverick Truck Club forum, but am a read only mode even when I am signed in. Dealer is 25 miles away and I don't want to make that drive. ANy help appreciated.

I would seek help at your local coffee shop. I'm sure you anyone there can get it all set up. It's easier to do this in person than to try and type how to do it. Too many unknown variables without being there with you.

With that much experience you're probably overlooking something simple. At some point in our experience we forget KISS in our troubleshooting procedures.

Have you tried removing and repairing the phone? This included removing it from both the phone and vehicle. I did that on mine, and it helped.

I currently use a usb drive with over 1000 songs in my Lexus and it plays fine--only after formatting it to FAT32 and placing the songs in individual folders. After figuring out how to access the radio on my new 26 Mav Hybrid Lariat, I plugged in the usb drive and hit sources on the touch screen. It showed the USB drive symbol and it started playing the songs and actually recognized all 1000+ songs. It took me a while to find the button on the touch screen that gave me access to the FM-AM-SXM and USB. Out where we live in West Texas, we have few radio stations that come in clear and I don't have XM so I rely on my usb drive (I miss the cd player--I guess I could hook up my portable one but that is too much trouble worrying about another device in the truck). I'm 74 and still like to fart around with computers and such.
