New England Mavericks

A group for Maverick owners in New England.

Just ordered 2024 XL hybrid in Arizona Grey. I’ve been driving a Prius for the last 12 years and these are cheaper than a new one. However, I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on this truck. I do a little work around the house and it will be handy for trips to Home Depot, but is that enough? I think I may test drive both the Maverick and the new Prius when the Maverick arrives, and decide then. But I’ll be disappointed if I like the Prius better. The little boy in me always wanted a truck.

I've heard good things about the new Prius, definitely give both a test ride. I went with the Maverick because I move dirt bikes around often and wanted the bump in towing capacity from my Chevy Cobalt's 1000lbs. If I couldn't get a Maverick though, the Prius was high on my list. Let us know what you think of both!

I guess it really depends on how often you need a truck during the year. After driving a prius for so many years you already have an idea on how many days a year you were limited at stores like HD.
The gas mileage on either veh is hard to beat, the cost of the Mav is unbeatable though.
I've had a truck in one form or another for 40 years. There were short periods when I didn't have one and I wish I did because of being limited by my sedan. While the Mav is the smallest I've owned it does everything I need it to when I need it to.
Believe me when I say this you will find extra reasons for using the truck after you get it than you can think of now.

Thanks! Looking forward to finding those extra reasons. Hopefully it won’t be too long to wait.
