Well, finally got new shoes for my Lobo! Just in time for the new autocross season. I got Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUVs in a 245/50R19. Got them at Costco. Not sure but it seems like they only deal in OEM replacement although I 'm sure I'm not the only one who has ever ordered tires that aren't the stock size. At first they were worried they had ordered the wrong size. They kept telling the stock tire size is 225/55R19. I said I know I ordered the 245s. Oh... was the answer. Then it was you know the are -3%. I was thinking I know it was negative something , but I wasn't sure. I check the tire calculator site and it was actually -.3% not -3% for inches and -.2% in millimeters. in essence the tire diameters were the same. The difference in speedometer reading is 60mph indicated is really 59.8mph. I can live with that. Anyway just before they put the tires on the tech came out and proceeded to tell me the same thing except that I clarified that it was .3% not 3%. And he kept repeating we're not responsible, I said I know this is my own doing. But I guess they have to be that way, but I've done my home work and DMS had put the same size Firestone Indy 500s on his Lobo and tracked it. I don't recall there being any issues. Anyway, the truck feels faster just sitting in the driveway. I'm excited to see how the truck handles at my first event of 2026! I'm also planning on getting it serviced before then. It has a bit over 6K on the odometer. Enjoy your rides! These are special little trucks!
