No resting up before this week’s hip replacement surgery. A true old fart!

Amen! I can appreciate that, got a new shoulder on 4 December. Gettin' older ain't for the faint-hearted! Hang in there and best wishes. Mrs RideSolo has had two knees done and I've had the shoulder. For what it's worth I hear the hip is easier to get through. That's all relative, though, nothing like that is easy. VA doing it?

No - I’m using Medicare and Tricare for Life. The hospital is just blocks away from my home. When I took my first retirement from the service, I was told both hips would require surgery. I have put it off as long as I have been able. I understand the VA rates hip replacement as 100% for a year and then rates any residua impact afterward. Now I have to learn the procedure to start the process.

Have helped rehab 4 friends and relatives through 7 Hip Replacement surgeries. Best advice is when the therapists say 10 reps do only 10 reps. If the therapists say 200 steps then do ONLY 200 steps. and No Steps means NO STEPS PERIOD!
You do not want them to go back in to fix some mess your stubborn self created.

Stubbornness is an inherited trait in my family.
