Folks, how many miles did your Maverick have when u did the 1st oil change?

I'm about to schedule my first and I'm at about 5500.

I did my first oil change at about 7500 miles. I took it to AAA on Brokaw. It took less than an hour. The south bay dealerships wanted me to leave the car all day even when I made an appointment. I don't think so...

When I first bought the truck and was signing the papers/etc., the dealership scheduled my first oil change as part of the "onboarding" process. And I dutifully showed up at the designated time/day and waited in a (longish) line and finally the service manager guy walks up and asks me how many miles I have on the truck. I tell him 3k and he says come back when you have 6.

I mean, I get it, but I took half a day off to go there. They didn't tell me what mileage to wait for when _they_ scheduled the appt. So I spent a lot of time driving all the way there, waiting, and then driving back.

So when I do get my oil changed, it will not be at that dealership.

I take the cars to Oil Stop guys on Saratoga Ave with the OEM filter and Mobile 1 oil I supply them. Tire Rotation is free at America's Tire. Makes it more cumborsome w 2 stops, but not sure what dealers are charging for the 1st service these days.

2600 and it said 300 left. It was easy except many bolts for the fx4 plate. Mobil one and filter no rotation as I just added black lug nuts. After reset it says next change march 2025; 1000 miles!

I have always done my own after the first 1000 miles, old school? Is there special break in oil used? I kinda doubt it nowadays. I am a fan of Mobil One (except have to use a zinc oil in my '47 TC). After that first change, I just follow the normal changes. I will be towing, so that is more frequent
