SoCal Mavericks

Hi all, I've been on the MTC from its beginning. Also originally from San Clemente, but 2 years ago moved to Westminster. I was one of the 1st Maverick orders back in 2021 with a Rapid Red First Edition & picked it up Feb 2022. I have made many mods and upgrades; as well as, had some warranty (windshield, 12v Battery) & damage repairs performed at my dealership (Tuttle Click Irvine), I love them!

Welcome! Huntington Beach here, but I work in Tustin. I ordered almost immediately as well. It took a couple of extra weeks because I couldn't decide which drivetrain i wanted lol.

I do miss San Clemente (~30 years) but it was time for change.
I've never been a "car" guy... and never had any desire to own a truck, but I love my Maverick! Has anyone heard of a local Maverick meet up? I've seen them do this in other places or is that just in Kansas.

Must be just in Kansas... Nobody up by me doing anything. We got "Maverik", gas/truck stops up here. Thought it would be cool to do a meet up at one of those

One of us would have to initiate our own little impromptu get together. Saturday or Sunday afternoon type thing.

I have seen pics/video of Mavericks in places I recognize, down in Capo Beach, at the SC Outlets. Living up in the north part of the state, still don't see too many in the wild. Lot's of Super Duties!

We have had a meetup with @Fast Mavericks . That was last year. We can meet up for coffee or lunch or something, but nobody can seem to agree on anything lol. I'll create a post and see what people say.

11 months was plenty wait for my 2022 XLT. Keeping my fingers crossed for Ford to announce a hybrid AWD, Tremor so I can order THAT! Til then, I am good with FX4, bigger tires and a level kit

I posted a show I am attending on the 21. All Ford @prsncat suggested a Cars & Coffee in Tustin on 4/14 on my first post. Anyone that can come to that, do it.

@2cafn8d And just as I was the one that suggested it... I have another Ford event on the same day (April 14th).

I will volunteer at the Orange County Model A Ford Club Pancake Breakfast and Raffle at Hart Park (701 South Glassell Street, Orange -- just off the 22 Freeway at Glassell). If folks want to bring their Mavericks here, I think you can park away from the Model As.

Otherwise, the Legacy C&C is intimate with lots of available parking and friendly people.

@2cafn8d I will check with the OCMAFC at the monthly meeting on Thursday night and come back here with a confirmation of whether or not we can meet at Hart Park. It should be a fun time -- last year there were more than 100 Model As.
