Freezing cold and a bit snowy in the Indy area. I very impressed with the Mav! While don’t like seeing my average MPG for my first 5000 miles fall from 47.7 to 43 so far. But considering it’s been -6°. This truck has done well. Can warms up quickly and she handles great in the snow. All be it only 2” I can’t wait to see what she does in a bigger snow fall.

I'm impressed with my Mav as well. I'm willing to take the mpg hit for remote (app) start to warm up.

Yeah, I'm losing even more. Went from ~45 to ~39. Longer drives, faster speeds, much less assist from Hybrid when trying to stay warm inside. Oh well, I'm thinking nearly 40mpg is so far beyond what my DD was getting before. Very happy indeed!

Yes I have noticed a bigger drop since my post. I was only getting 20mpg on my 2017 Flex at best so still sooooo much better! Snowing now and more coming, cant wait to run more in the snow. But I am ready for Spring!

I like this response in a different thread - "Winter blend gasoline allows for better cold-weather starting. Due to its formulation, it has less energy, which translates into a bit less fuel economy. In the wintertime, with a little longer warmup time that some people want and the lower energy content of winter fuel, you might see a 5% reduction in fuel economy."
