Hey all. For the lucky canucks who have their Mavs, how long did shipping to the dealer take and where are you located?

Thanks. I assume that is 5 months from order, not build correct?
My build is schedule for Jan 8. Dealer said he has seen deliveries as long as 6 weeks and as quick as 2 weeks. Not sure how accurate that is. I haven’t seen many Mavs around here so not sure if that’s a fair estimate
Benilla
Correct. Not sure when it was re: build, if I had to guess it'd be 2 months

Mine took 16 days by rail to get from Mexico to Dartmouth, N.S. Then 5 days to get to the dealer. (It also sat for 3 weeks in Mexico before it was shipped.)

Ouch 3 weeks is a long time to be waiting for a rail car. Hopefully that was an anomaly. I can’t image them wanting completed vehicles taking up space when they’re pumping out 13K per month

mine was built the end of november last year. Including the lag over Christmas it showed up the middle of January so about 7 1/2 weeks. To be fair it was actually on the railcar in town for 2 weeks before they unloaded it. Saskatoon.

@brucecorporal damn mine has just gotten built, according to the window sticker its shipping by convoy and im located in new brunswick. any ideas how long ill be waiting?
CanadaGuy
CanadaGuy
It’s a guessing game. So I’ll guess it hits the NB rail yard dec 29th

@CanadaGuy fair enough. its supposed to be shipped by convoy though so will it still end up on a train?
Cromwell
Cromwell
Travelling by convoy might mean that it avoids the rigamarole of St. Louis and Chicago. On the other hand, how far can convoy travel in a day compared with rail?
JBEN110
JBEN110
@Cromwell honestly I have no idea, maybe 1000 km? Or is it 800? They changed the rules for truck drivers semi recently

Just about four weeks to the dealer in Manitoba .

I'm in Alberta. 4-5 weeks from build to delivery.

Once I had the VIN, I was able to track the progress online, which was fun.

Here's my timeline:
Ordered in May 2022...

2023:
June 3: received VIN
July 6: built, awaiting shipment, received window sticker
(production was only a couple of days)
August 7: arrived at dealership (in Canmore)
August 12: ready for pick up
