Heated seats

Not having my Mav yet (Nov 2023 yes I can't wait) What controls the Heated seats? Are they individually controlled, is it on/off or is there a rheostat that controls how much heat is applied?

You press a button to turn it on, it will have 3 settings, you cycle through with the same button.

EDIT: There is also another icon on the left side for the driver's seat.

Driver and passenger sides can be controlled separately. If you also have a heated steering wheel then that button is in the middle. They are very, very nice. I don't think I'll buy another vehicle without them. I'm turning into a wimp in my old age. I remember sitting on the vinyl seats of my dad's old Chevy Scottsdale and it was so cold they cracked!

Heated steering wheel is the best invention ever, haha. But seriously, I couldn't buy a vehicle without a heated steering wheel either now that I have experienced that luxury.

One luxury I haven't experienced yet is a "cooling" seat... Someday, lol

You can

1) Get the Ford ones, the wires are there according to a few people who have done it, but you need to get the correct HVAC controller that has the buttons to use them. You might also need Forscan, not sure on that though.

2) Aftermarket add-ons, will require wiring and installing the buttons.

Heated seats and steering wheel were absolutely a requirement for me.
It's funny even living in the desert Southwest my nieces and great nephews would not buy a vehicle without heated seats and steering wheels now that they've had them.

Lived in Amarillo courtesy of U.S. Army from 1988-1991. NEVER snowed there. The year we left, good friend sent me pictures of his kids, jumping off roof into snow drifts! They got hammered for a week! Ha! Wife has a 2014 4Runner with "butt chillers" as well as the heat. She likes them both, but I could care less about the chilled seats, but living in Idaho, do love the heated seats and wheel on my Maverick. Strange, but the 4Runner is a "Limited" top of the line. No heated steering wheel!

Toyota and Honda were really strange like that. They didn't add the heated steering wheels until many years after adding heated seats. It was noticeable on older designs that even after refreshes those models didn't get them until the next generation arrived. Kind of goes with the very conservative way the Japanese model supply chains.

You say that now, wait until your low back is a little sore.
Or you end up taking your Maverick into cold country. As a member who's a fellow Texan recently did.

I have property in the mountains of Utah and it sure is nice during the change of seasons to have that heated seat and steering wheel.
