A friend of mine got one earlier this year. It's a good looking color, 'specially with the Lariat-shoe interior.

It is my favorite Mav color. I wish it were available on the 22.

It'll probably match even moreso now with the brown/bronze replaced with the smoked truffle (tan).

It was my choice for my '25 on order. It appears to be a slightly darker tan than the Terrain color. I'm happy about that because I thought Terrain was too close to white. I paired it with the Black Appearance Package, although I don't want the black roof and hood stripes that come with the BAP at all. You can barely see both in this photo.

On 2024 and earlier, I think Desert Sand would really make it pop. I've seen Cactus Gray on the road, and it looks sharp - so light colors work on the older Mavericks.

This is totally personal and subjective, but on a 2025 I would tend to choose a highly saturated darker color. That's because I want to tone down that inexplicably ugly fascia. Some cars look good in light colors. Others in dark colors. And I think the 2025 just has that big warty thing on its nose that you want to deemphasize.

That's totally subjective, and I haven't seen a 2025 in person yet. Could be we are all gonna like that nose when we see it on the street. Sometimes pictures lie.

PS: I'm not trying to turn a paint thread into a fascia thread. We have plenty of those already. I'm just explaining why I would personally select a darker color on the 2025.

I miss the old days when vehicles had 4 or 5 different interior color choices.
To keep with the thread I ordered a 25 in Desert Sand.

I think Eruption Green looks sharp. But I think it will look dated after few years.

I ordered my 25 in Desert Tan. I was going to go with Eruption Green, but my brother saw pictures and said, "That's really, really green."

I wish that would have a had a matte od type color. But, I like the Desert Tan. Glad I chose it.

I have a '24 XLT Eco 4K towing AWD in Terrain. Like the color, hides our dirt road dust perfectly.

My wife and I both like the desert sand color...we were going to order a '25 in that color but didn't want to wait for the new models to be produced.

Really... colors are something I normally couldn't give a cr*p about but my wife is a bit more opinionated.

We bought aa Cactus Grey one...so now we have a Maverick that is more likely to get nailed in an accident since Grey and silver cars are harder to see than brighter colors.

Never saw a Grey Cactus in the desert.

Ford color choices on these cars suck...

Is the top and hood painted or is it a vinyl cover?
