Is there anyway to change the wattage the usb ports output when connecting a phone to use for CarPlay/AA? I think I measure it at 7.5 but I would like to reduce it to 1 or even 0 to just use it as an audio input

I don't think this is possible. What are you trying to achieve? Is there anyway to change the wattage the usb ports output when connecting a phone to use for CarPlay/AA? I think I measure it at 7.5 but I would like to reduce it to 1 or even 0 to just use it as an audio input
So that as I am connected to carplay my phone is not charging (Causing it to overheat and damage the batter). Just use the usb port as an input but not a charer as well.I don't think this is possible. What are you trying to achieve?
I see this setting below in the ACM. the factory digit is 5.

The standard low wattage coming out of the vehicle's USB port should not damage the battery or cause it to overheat. So that as I am connected to carplay my phone is not charging (Causing it to overheat and damage the batter). Just use the usb port as an input but not a charer as well.
It's not low wattage though. I can't find the photo but I measured it with a tweak on my old jailbroken phone and I believe it was 7.5 watts. If your phone is already above 80% this can be bad. And I am aware of the charging limit feature (which is broken for me and lots of other iPhone users) as well as the optimized charging feature. The standard low wattage coming out of the vehicle's USB port should not damage the battery or cause it to overheat.
If you are concerned about battery health, there are settings in the phone that will determine how it charges for the best battery lifespan.
No, I am not talking about the built in battery controlling measures, I thought you were talking about the settings that are available to the user. Take a look at this https://discussions.apple.com/thread/255172326?sortBy=bestNot gonna argue over what constitutes "high wattage." Are you saying on your phone, the internal programming that would normally slow down the charging rate once the battery reaches a certain SoC is broken? That is not even a user-controllable feature.
Hey what about just buying a wireless CarPlay/ android auto adaptor?? then your phone would not be plugged in at all? Would this work?.No, I am not talking about the built in battery controlling measures, I thought you were talking about the settings that are available to the user. Yup. That's what I did for my Pixel 6a.Hey what about just buying a wireless CarPlay/ android auto adaptor?? then your phone would not be plugged in at all? Would this work?.
Easy to fix, just add a wireless car play (or android auto) adaptor and charge your phone only when neededIs there anyway to change the wattage the usb ports output when connecting a phone to use for CarPlay/AA? I don't want to go the wireless option as the quality is not as good
Not possible to change the voltage in forscan. This option linked by @mp24 looks like exactly what you need
