New recall: tail lights may not light up on 2022-2024 Maverick (5/1/24)

Just got an email. My dealership called and left a message that they can send a mobile tech. Not sure if I want to do any of the recalls if I’m being completely honest.

Yes. At this point the best advice you will get is that if you don't have a problem, skip the recall work. Sad state that it's come to. Especially considering that issue could pop up later on and once the truck is out of warranty, people are screwed. So it's either have it done and hope it doesn't brick your vehicle stranding you for who knows how long, or don't have it done.

There's no time limit for safety recalls. I was still handing out fused jumper harness's for some vehicles made in the 1990's in 2018.

That recall covers certain Ford vehicles made from 1992 to 2003.

So I see where some people here have had an oil change at Ford, but told them not to do any recalls. Wil most dealers do that? I need an oil change but dont want any of the recalls. My dealership doesn't provide loaners or rental cars, so I don't want to take any changes. Changing the oil myself is not an option.

My IL dealer did this too. Sent the tech to my work, and did the job here on 2 recalls 2 months ago.

Tesla "recalls: are done OTA..unless it's something like the accelerator pedal needing 1 screw.

and the fact you can't drive a the cybertruck through water without using car wash mode...A maverick is more capable in knee high water lol and that its twice the price as advertised...

I just had an oil change done. They (the person that took my truck) said to notify your service writer at the desk if you do not want any recalls done.

Well it wasn’t there earlier today but it is now. My Maverick’s first recall… woohoo!?!

Just checked the Ford recalls site. My 23 2.0 XLT is tagged for this BCM recall, plus the turn signal outage. Guess I'll have to make an appointment and drive an hour and a half over the Continental Divide to have these both done. What a PITA!

My dealer did oil changes and no recalls . next oil change probably get soft ware updates but not air bags . air bag recalls have been a nightmare because techs aren't trained well enough to perform them cleanly and properly ( headliner falling and greasy , new rattles , ECT ) . currently have no rattling and headliner in good shape .

I know nothing about that, the pedal I do. Not a fan of the cybertruck.

On this recent recall, I guess I am lucky. Have had 3 recalls and one TSB. My wife wants to move just out side of town, and we are now just 3/4 mile from the Ford Dealership. I said we are not moving ....yet...
