Seriously. Was scheduled to go in last week for all the recalls on my ‘22 Hybrid, but then a new recall came out the week before. Rescheduled for third week of May and now this recall will push it all back once again. The dealer I use is an hour away, however, the battery cable CSP ends in late June, so may have to make multiple trips for recalls now.

There was a guy on facebook who had issues with the remote start no longer turning on tail lights. I wonder if its related
Was he using the remote start in the day? Tail lights only come on at night (auto feature), or if you manually turn on the headlights ;)

Toyota Prius might be a little more dependable

11 recalls, but not all vehicles impacted. As of now, I have only had 3 against my SN
I've received no emails about a NHTSA recall for potential tail light issue yet. Since picking up my Mav an 1/14/23 I have only had 2 NHTSA recalls, and both were due to FMVSS issues: Trailer wiring harness missing a pin, and the Turn signal outage warning light not illuminating. Had to take the Mav to the dealer to fix the trailer wiring harness, but the dealer came to me to fix the turn signal outage warning light.

...Ford should really get this stuff sorted because if Toyota ever comes out with an affordable little truck like The stout scout that doesn't cost my left one or look like it's on steroids or belonging in the transformers movies. I would probably go that route instead
Recently, Toyota issued a recall over 600k vehicles with safety-related issues.

All manufacturers are having problems with new vehicles that are computers on wheels.

Im not getting any recalls done unless my truck has problems. I never trust the dealerships. Their Techs are forced to work as fast as possible and by doing that, mistakes are made. I just saw someone post that a dealership bricked their BCM module trying to Flash Software Updates/Recalls. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

was this sent out to everyone, or just those who are affected by the recall...because I have not gotten that email... :-(. I actually hope I am part of this recall as I have this issue and dealership could not replicate the randomness of the assembly not working from time to time. turn off truck and start it back up, and all lights work again....ugh
You have to register your car through their app to get alerts.

Man ford sure is struggling with programming tail lights, this is either the 3rd or 4th recall related to them. What sucks is you have to redo all the forscan changes when they do the bcm flash, maybe they bought forscan stock or something to make sure you keep an active subscription...

that definitely sucks for anyone who owns a '22 XL that has cruise added. when this reflash first came up, quite a number of people who '22 XL with cruise had no idea it wasn't factory and why it would have stopped working.

They come on 100% of the time to indicate a remote start has occurred.
Works like that on three separate makes and models I have including the Maverick.

On the bright side, I talked to somebody who had a hybrid Maverick yesterday and they claimed it's their second one and they haven't had any issues. So I realized forums only show the issues, not the people who don't have problems usually. But I'm really becoming more and more hesitant about getting a Maverick. I would Hope by the time the 2025s come out if I get one of them or maybe a 2024 they would have all of these bugs worked out. I'm also a little concerned with Ford quality/ longevity compared to Japanese counterparts. Ford should really get this stuff sorted because if Toyota ever comes out with an affordable little truck like The stout scout that doesn't cost my left one or look like it's on steroids or belonging in the transformers movies. I would probably go that route instead
I've had mine for a year. Never had a better vehicle. Don't listen to the haters. I Ordered my second Maverick the 6th of March it is supposed to be here on the 4th of this month. I have been a ASE certified Master technician for over 30 years. If I buy a second vehicle of the same model you can bet your ass they are good.

Yet another example of the trash QC this company has. How many safety-related recalls have there been now? Embarrassing.

Oh I know they all have problems and Toyota does as much as anybody but even over the last few years I think if you look at any kind of quality survey like JD and power etc, they still fare a lot better than Ford or other domestics. And a lot of other foreign brands. And I'm not a Toyota fan. The only one I ever owned was an old pickup truck back when I was 21
I just see this one vehicle from Ford that I'm interested in and it looks like there's a dozen recalls on them basically and 3 years into production. They're still having a lot of them

Ford just sent an email communication on the recalls. They can't even get the font colors correct.

Grey on Black??? C'mon Man! Act like a large multinational company!

Your email client is turning the background black with font gray- probably because you have dark mode on.....

I stand corrected ;) I rarely use remote start (twice in a year and a half, maybe). I was thinking about driving during the day, and the tail lights aren't on.
