Does anyone feel the pedal is short? Seems my foot slips off more than I like.

I'm glad I searched for "gas pedal" threads and found this, because on my drive home tonight I finally got annoyed enough with this to complain. I am the ergonomic average American male at 5'9". I've had my Maverick for 6 months now. Yea, every blue moon my foot slips off the bottom of the gas pedal. I'm sure the engineers had some logic behind the design, but I've had 50+ cars over my lifetime, and never this problem. Minor but annoying.

I'm ready to cut mine in half to get more legroom and give my shin a break and then I find this thread that talks about lengthening it. Lol.

My wife does that all of the time. If I am in the truck and she’s driving and it happens it scares the daylight out of me. I have driven small vehicles all of my life so I am used to the smaller pedals.

omg yes, I thought it was just me

and the tray floor liners do not do a good job of catching debris around the gas pedal

It’s not the size of the pedal. It’s that it’s mounted too far from the floor. 🥴🥴. From all the comments from people this is happening to….. It doesn’t need to be touching the floor, but just needs to be a little lower. It’s not leg length. It’s not shoe size. It’s not just women. It’s men too. And if you move the seat further forward to make it a bit better, you’re right on top of the steering wheel and airbag.
