Got mine in and installed today, definitely happy with it. The OTR coating does a good job blending in with the plastic trim.

The contrast against the gray looks good too! Congratulations.

@prsncat are you seeing an mpg boost? I was expecting an improvement of 1-2mpg if anything at all but I'm seeing more like 5mpg and thinking there must be another factor at play..

Just out of curiosity how long did yours take to be delivered after you ordered it? Our Tremor arrived at Granger and it will be 4 weeks next monday since we ordered ours to be shipped to DesMoines Iowa. We wont be able to go to the mainland until mid June. Just crossing our finger that it will be delivered before then.

This might be a dumb question but how do you wash/clean leaves and pine needles from between the top and back window? I have to remove my tonneau cover to get all those needles out and I can’t even get between the cab and the cap on my F250 so it stays green and moldy ☹ I like the cap idea but I wouldn’t be able to remove it to wash the truck.

I ordered mine close to a year ago but I did so knowing they weren't in production. I think mine was very early in the queue and took about 4 weeks to install from production start

I got mine built with a tilt out inner window so I can access the gap from inside the topper. I got this option for cleaning purposes specifically

I am sorry for the delayed response.

I don't know what the MPG impact is at this time. I loaned my Maverick to my son and he is in Pleasanton CA while I am in Irvine CA. I will see if he is keeping track of the MPG and get back to you.

I also have the tilt-down front window for accessing the area between the cab and the front of the shell.

I asked a local (Orange County CA) A.R.E. shell dealer to get on the list for an MX-series shell in December 2022. A.R.E. finally accepted my configuration for production in late January, and it finished production around April 4. The shell arrived on Saturday, April 15, and was installed this morning, April 18. My configuration is as follows:
  • OTR Black Spray (Line-X) rather than painted to match
  • Tilt-down picture window
  • Side sliding windows
  • Double T-locks
  • Charcoal Gray headliner (no lights or roof hangars)
  • Roof rack rails only
I know the cab high would look a little cleaner since the bed is so short and the cab lines are long. Yet, I wanted extra height for putting things in the back.

I drove the truck home at various speeds to see if the large gap to the back of the cab created any noise. I am happy to report that it doesn't make any noise. I decided on the tilt-down picture window so I could clean the area between the cap and the shell from time to time.

I do like it despite the fact my wife wishes I had purchased a cab-high shell instead.

I did reach an agreement to sell it to an MTC member several months ago. It didn't go well. Consequently, I doubt I trust anyone enough to try again.

Tempting...although I'm wondering why they 'scooped' the cap where it meets the cab (I'd prefer a more seamless-type mate between cap and cab)?

Reporting back, still glad I got the topper but a few items:
  • Leaks a bit, not too bad but water definitely gets in at the seal near the cab.
  • I wouldn't get the otr again, I wish I got the Jeep matte black.. the otr texture really holds dirt. Also it would save the otr cost
  • Height is good, I can sit up in it but wouldn't be able to if it was any shorter
