The scratches bothered me a little at first, but I didn't really buy the Mav for its interior beauty, and now I barely notice. "It's a truck," after all ;)

Looks like the same as my 23 Lariat. Somehow mine got scratched on the door panel so bad that I've ordered another one. I hate to spend the money, but it just aggravates me to no end. What's worse is I think it was done at the dealer ship, but I'm not 100% sure, and I can't prove it. (I've ordered a new door panel, not a new truck).

I have owned a 2022 2023 and as of a day ago now own a 2024 Maverick Lariat.

Looking as the interior plastics the 2024 seems more shinny and hard to scratch than the earlier years I have owned. 2022 Lariat ECO, 2023 Lariat hybrid, 2024 Lariat ECO.

Anyone else notice any changes to 2024 interior plastics?

I took delivery of my 24 Lariat hybrid on Friday 11/17/23. Has 65 miles on it now. Compared to my 22 Lariat EB, the interior plastic of the 24 appears to have more shine. At first I attrributed that to the PDI detailing. The interior of my 22 definitely scuffs easily. I rubbed clear silicone based grease on the bad ones, let it sit then wiped it off. I then treated the surrounding area with interior detailer. Overall, an 80% improvement.

Unrelated: After waiting 14 months for my special order, my dealer, Encinitas Fraud in 92024, sucked the joy out of what should have been a joyful event and turned it into a stressful financial stunt.

I've had zero scratches...on a 2022 Hybrid. The Porsche 911 Sport looks to have the same type texture of plastic. Very few newer high end cars have door panels, and dashes USE plastic. Much more durable than leather or anything else. Definitely easier to clean.

I think you're only one of like 3 people on this board who have gotten their 2024s, not sure you'll get much feedback right now :D

Beautiful blue color btw
Hopefully I will get my 2024 Lariat in mid December.

EDIT: I wear athletic shorts, golf shorts, golf pants, hiking pants and on super rare occasion a pair of chinos - all soft materials that shouldn't cause those. It's just a Ford way of life.

There must be something other than your clothing that hits that section occasionally. I can't imagine any plastic being softer than clothing. Only thing that would seem plausible is jeans with rivets.

Haven't worn a pair of jeans since I bought the truck.

Honestly, I challenge anyone with a Maverick to take a picture of that exact spot on their truck and there not be scratches.

Probably going to jinx myself, but so far I don't believe I've scratched the interior in just under 7 months on my '23 Lariat. I do wipe it down with Turtle-Wax Graphene Interior spray monthly, so maybe the graphene helps prevent scratches.

Yes, it's all plastic and not going to be confused with the interior of a Lexus, but I like the interior and it isn't any lower grade feeling than the prior '12 Outback Limited.
Ditto. My 23 XLT is just not seeing the scratches everyone complained about previously. I assumed like OP did that at some point Ford changed something up. No idea, just know mine is not the scratch magnet I expected, not even in the seatlbelt column.

Curious why you own 3 mavericks?

But the scratches on the backside of the plastic panels when you take them off, like something was trying to claw it's way out from inside your dash, how can those be explained?

Well, there was that one guy in another thread who said rats were eating his wiring, so.......................?
Baby Chupacabra, they do come from Mexico.
