Just an excuse for not waxing your freshly painted vehicle? I spent 2023 washing this thing 1-2 times a month. Would have been so much easier had I waxed it to begin with.
A shiny hammer and an ugly hammer both drive a nail. I bought a tool, not a piece of art.

Mine has only been washed twice in three months and one of those was to get my son off the computer for a bit.

I went through that same process. Key to me was the tri-fold doesn't block the cargo management system like 2 others I looked at in person and the Ford design minimally obstructs the bed. It doesn't have a lock in it but you can't open it without opening the tailgate. It is very nice and I'm glad I spent the little extra getting Ford's version.
Good choice but it’s a Bakflip rebranded. Get a Bakflip and save some money if you go this way.

Looks Great! Congratulations!
Now I am part of the club as well! Just got mine yesterday at the Dealer!
They had an order cancelled last Friday, I passed by on Saturday and Closed the deal on Monday. No Markups, window sticker price from 6 months ago! What a luck! 😃
Lets ride! 💪🤙

Beautiful truck and know you will enjoy it. As far as mods go, if you do everything suggested on the site, you will spend about as much for mods as you did your truck LOL. My suggestion is to do three things. 1) Add what you want and need, 2) Add what you can afford, and 3) Enjoy what you add. Simple formula that works all the time. Remember it is not what other people like and want; it is what you like and want.

You are almost certainly right. I looked at theirs but couldn't be certain they had clamps that wouldn't interfer with the sliding tiedowns and I didn't want to lose that capability (came in handy already, the sliding tiedowns did). I figured the Ford one would not interfer AND it's a Ford accessory so I knew if there was a problem, they'd take care of it. The difference wasn't all that much in price by the time shipping got figured in.

$1,119 on RealTruck $0 shipping
$1,079 on Amazon $0 shipping
$1,279 on Ford ... and I used my points from buying the Maverick since I'm not buying anything else from them, so
$1,079 from Ford $0 shipping

Anyway, Ford didn't seem out of order on price. Well, not TOO much. Anyway, I like the way the cover can fold up against the back of the cab and has two struts to hold it in place, out of the way of almost all the bed.

I like it.

And lets get serious here. Very few MTC members are using Maverick as a truck. Even if you are, waxing saves time and energy at the car wash.
If you're about time savings then just don't wash or wax either. I find this as fruitless as tailgate lettering.

I've got a 20yo vehicle and a 11yo vehicle. The only time I wash them is in the winter and it's just for the under wash / coat here in salty PA. Never waxed.

The body's on both cars look just like every other car I see their age. No rust, no horrible paint degradation beyond the normal dings.

If be looking at stuff that provides the most function first. Bed liner or bed cover, depending on drivers intended usage.

If you want it to be a Pavement Princess, do the suggested appearance add-ons. If you want it to just be a truck, skip those and save some money. The windshield washer fluid suggested is a good practical purchase. It actually does help with windshield visibility in the rain.

Unfortunately I'm in a new development construction zone so car is going to get dusty quickly

Spray-in bedliner and cover. I underestimated the value of the cover until I didn't have it and needed it.

This sounds good if you don't plan to use it as a truck. No amount of paint protection is going to protect it from a boy scout dragging their bag across it. I personally didn't bother and spent my money elsewhere.

As for the Rain-X, go ahead and run out your window wash and put in the Rain-X brand. After a bottle of it, your windshield will be good to go.
I had the dealer do the spray bed liner- so thats done- my easy non thinking mod was to get the front windows tinted- will post a pic

Now I'm jealous, I have an order in at Hadelman Allentown Ford and thankfully a build date 11/13. Used to live out your way 10 years back, still just a stone throw. I was unable to find a local XL-Eco on a lot in Aug & Sept without $5k markup. Seems the market is really breaking this last month.

Congrats on your score!

Mods? Yikes lol What do you suggest in order of priority?- would like a cover eventually- doing analysis paralysis on that. 1st easy thing for me is to tin front windows same as rear
After driving over newly paved roads and having to claybar my new Maverick, I'd suggest mud flaps. They also give it a beefier look from the rear.
