Just signed up so I can post, but have been reading and learning for a couple weeks. Put a 2024 order in, but kept up searching online for anything that might be available. As many have found, Ford makes the dealers leave inventory online until the paperwork is final, so pretty much everything you see is spoken for. Found one that was actually available, and even though the salesman wasn't responding to my calls and emails, I drove to the dealer. By the time i got there, it was already sold. But the salesman said "here's one I ordered for my daughter, and as it happens it won't work out". It was within about 90% of what I desired, and was scheduled to be built soon, so I grabbed it. Definitely got lucky, especially since the hybrid I wanted is $1500 more for the '24s. I've had it about two weeks and getting 41 mpg in mixed driving, and am very happy. Thanks for all the great info!

Welcome! Glad you were able to obtain a Hybrid and are enjoying it. A friend has a Hybrid and I just cannot believe how smoothly his eCVT switches between electric and gas engines. And then there's the fantastic mileage.

I should be getting mine any day now.

Well thank you. I was actually born a Ford brat. (I survived my teenage years, some of my dad's company lease cars, not so much) I came of age after the first oil crisis. Dark times for Ford. I can remember looking around and finding there wasn't a single Ford car I wanted to drive, let alone buy. So glad Ford now makes terrific and desirable vehicles. Loving the Maverick.

Here you go! My first choice would have been Atlas Blue, but the Area 51 is OK.

My first mods. V ring tie downs and a 2x10. I think two 2x6's would be easier to wrestle in to position.

I love the A51 and always get compliments! I think you’ll enjoy your Maverick.

Depending on what you put in your bed, the wood might work well. I use 2 tension shower curtain rods (cost $14) that I can place anywhere. They have worked great for the past 20 months and I have moved a bunch of stuff!
