Extended Service Plan… aka/ extended auto warranty With light add on. Granger Ford sells them $50 over cost and their good at all Ford Dealers nationwide.
Flood Ford also has great price on ESP. It seems to show a lower price than Granger Ford. unless it gives discount after purchase is completed. You do Flood Ford right online. When I get my Maverick I will show finance that Granger sells $50 over cost. Although I doubt they will match. My dealership seems to think MTC reports a lot of bogus info. I knew things that my salesman didn't know by being on this site. Anyone else compare Flood Ford with Granger ?

Ya. Sucks. But it's true.
To do (insurance) business in CA there is a minimum of sales $$$ you have to do or have $$$ in assets. Keeps out the little guys.
So I guess Ford doesn't meet the requirements. Does this also keep out the third party companies to like car shield or endurance? Always thought those were suspect anyway.

Except if you live in Florida, you can't get an ESP from out of state dealerships. You have to buy them from Florida dealers at $2500.

$5600 water intrusion on F150 - the video didn't say, so more **speculation** is the vehicle was on a boat ramp and either wake, wave or slid too far into the water. **speculation**

I'll watch the video later but sounds like a creative way to get views.

Taillight can't be more than $400. Any sensors that people mention for 360 etc wouldnt be mounted in a removable maintenance capable item.

If they were 5k+ there would be a bunch driving around without them considering it's 2 mins to remove it...
excellent point.

Just another reason I am glad I never moved to Florida when I was thinking about it in the mid 80's.

With insurance premiums skyrocketing and the huge Dealer Doc fees on vehicle purchases I am glad I didn't follow through in moving there.

The Lariat tail light is $340 on eBay. I've already replaced one.
pfffffff, but how is this thread (or the youtube video) going to get any hits/likes if you keep stating facts back by hard experience that apply to the Maverick?

Yep. That's why minor fender benders are totaling Mavericks. Also why I broke with a long-running custom and actually bought the ESP.
Looks like pricing the lease plans is justified and/or the extended warranty?

BLIS sensors are in the rear bumper. What other modules are you concerned over? Admittedly, I didn't watch the video and don't intend to. But to get people thinking that it's going to over $5000 for a simple tail lamp assembly is just gross.
Watch the video. It's not just the tail light assembly in and of itself other sensors in that truck were located there also. The take away was the fact that the harness connections were put together apparently either without the electric sealing compound resulting in corrosion requiring replacement of the harness and modules. Perhaps thoroughly drying out the modules with cleaning and drying of the connectors followed by application of sealant would cure the problem. Implying that perhaps we should check and see if sealant need to be added to many connectors wherever they might be in our mavericks????
