How about this?

On my test drive before ordering my 2024 XL last month I noticed the same thing. This has been added to my addition list looks like a winner!

After a year of waiting, ! finally got my 2023 Mav (Red XLT Hybrid Lux). Yeah!
Probably like most of you, I did not get the opportunity to road-test one before ordering.
After 48 hours, the only odd thing I noticed is the central armrest: it is about 2 inches too low and too short.
I am only 5'7" and yet, I can't actually rest my right arm on it.
Long rides are going to be tough.

Has anyone found an armrest extender/cushion that could solve this issue?

Otherwise, I just love it. It's better than I expected.
I am 6’2” and have no problem with it. I drove from Atlanta to Panama City Beach yesterday and it was very comfortable. Try adjusting your seat.

I am same height and have no problem...but then again I am of a normal build.

I am 5'9" & I found the armrest is too short, it could be a little higher too, but mainly too short. I like my old cars with a bench seat where the end of the armrest is almost to the end of the seat cushion, you can really lean on those.

I agree. I have a Honda CRV currently, which shifts front and back and is very unsteady. The center arm rest is a really important part of the car for comfort.

Definitely lower than my 2000s Ranger I drove for 17 years (still driving it occasionally!) but I had totally forgotten until you started this thread. I guess I got used to it, because I really like driving my hybrid XLT.

I'm 6'2 and it feels off to me. I make it work though. I have to have my seat all the way down. Maverick seats don't go up or down, instead it tilts forward which will move you away from the armrest. I also move the seat back a bit more than in previous vehicles.

My chauffeur says that on my Bentley it has a power height adjustable center console. He loves it.

my Frontier (Gen 2) has a very low and far back center arm rest. while not ideal, the Maverick is a definite improvement over that. that is something I will look forward to when the truck arrives.

It's definitely a short person problem.
I'm 5'6 and have the same issue.

I am 5' 6" and have a 5' 8" wingspan. I put the seat all the way down and steering wheel all the way out and about halfway height wise. It is real comfortable for me. (I like my legs stretched out when I drive.)

I did some seat adjustments and, when my elbow reaches the tip of the armrest, I found myself too low and get a reduced line of sight.
I'll ask Santa for that armrest booster this Christmas. It's a terrific stocking stuffer...
