After a year of waiting, ! finally got my 2023 Mav (Red XLT Hybrid Lux). Yeah!
Probably like most of you, I did not get the opportunity to road-test one before ordering.
After 48 hours, the only odd thing I noticed is the central armrest: it is about 2 inches too low and too short.
I am only 5'7" and yet, I can't actually rest my right arm on it.
Long rides are going to be tough.

Has anyone found an armrest extender/cushion that could solve this issue?

Otherwise, I just love it. It's better than I expected.

I’m 6 foot 1 and don’t have that issue.

It's definitely lower and shorter than my previous Escape. I wish it just had the same longer one that's in the Escape. But, I've gotten over it. Just one of those new vehicle things to get used to.

I am 6'4''. It's fine.

Look, at 5'7'' you are closer to the average American male height than I am. Trust me, being this tall provides many more issues to complain about than your height. Way beyond armrests.

Enjoy your Mav. Put a smile on your face. Have a great day because happiness is a personal choice.

I have a bum right shoulder so this was a concern for me too. I'm 5'11" and it's okay, but yes could be an inch or two higher for me. Be sure to check your seat height adjustment.

I'm 5'10" and I can barely reach the wheel with my finger tips. I used the telescoping feature and that helped some. But, yeah, it's not ideal from an ergonomic standpoint.

I think it really depends on your proportions, more so than overall height in general. Have you ever compared your "wingspan" to your height? "Typical" proportions are 1:1 but you might be skewed one way or the other, making it harder to get comfy...

Anecdotally, I'm a very average 5'-10" but my arms are a gangly 6'-4" across (most of my height is in my legs). Makes for creative seat placement to get my short Italian torso and long German limbs comfortable in a car. That's my favorite thing about my Lincoln; the "perfect position" seats are just that; perfect.

Thats the first thing my wife noticed when we bought our maverick.the only other " complaint" is the engine sounds like a sewing machine lol.iam used to my hemi ram with an aftermarket exhaust though.

Maybe it's more of a short person issue. I find it to be short and I'm leaning to rest my arm on it as well at 5'8.

Don't have my 24 but the center arm rest struck a cord with me. My concern is the door arm rest always to low and the window edge to high. I've always had to make one out of heavy packing foam and velcro on. Anyone know what to use besides the truckers one that's still to high and scratches the plastic?
