You bet. Didn't mean to come off in a negative tone there, sorry.I agree that the EB makes sense for YOU. I don’t tow a trailer very often, and when I do, it’s a small rental. People towing larger loads probably shouldn’t get a Maverick at all. The Ranger I currently own (2011 XLT 4x4 6 cyl), I got in 2012 because it wouldn’t tow the guys camper through the mountains. Some folks have different needs.
that is not surprising to me given the MY23 order banks were open such a short period of time.really? that is kind of surprising.

Just saw an f150 at the dealer 10k off msrp. My bedmat finally came in, bought with pointsI got a Ford mailer today... If you want to know what ISN'T selling, it appears to be:
2023 Ford Escapes...0.9% for 36 months, PLUS $1000 "Trade Assist"
2023 For Explorer XLT ...0.9% for 36 months, PLUS $1000 "Customer cash"
2023 Ford F-150...1.9% for 36 months, $1000 Trade Assist AND $500 customer cash.
The 2023 Bronco Sport got a mention, but no discount financing or offers...(YET).
According to @Fordvideoguy, they are the #3 on the Maverick with about 425 allocations. And here are the top two with more allocations than Long McArthur Ford:that is not surprising to me given the MY23 order banks were open such a short period of time.
google says there are 2938 Ford dealerships in the USA.
I have absolutely no idea how many allocations the largest dealer got vs the minimum (surely there's a minimum) the smallest dealers got. but it's easy to imagine some of those 2938 have fewer orders than allocations.
Dealers would have no idea of knowing whether a customer ordered at another dealer as well. And obviously the Ford system doesn't do any kind of name/address match to prevent it.Didn't Ford tell dealers not to take more orders than they have allocations for and to make sure that every order is verified. Maybe this was a good prevention and people aren't putting in multiple orders each at a different dealerships because dealerships have to be more disserning about verifying the orders.
$10K off....getting close to the old days..... if they get down to precovid level of $28-29K for what I would want that might make the decision a whole lot harderJust saw an f150 at the dealer 10k off msrp. My bedmat finally came in, bought with points
When I first read your post I thought you said you bought a F150 with FordPass pointsJust saw an f150 at the dealer 10k off msrp. My bedmat finally came in, bought with points
Most would say their dealer if they did not get their 23 made. I would not blame them.According to @Fordvideoguy, they are the #3 on the Maverick with about 425 allocations. And here are the top two with more allocations than Long McArthur Ford:
1) Galpin Ford in North Hills, CA
2) Mullinux in Orlando, FL
And dealer with the least allocation on the Maverick = ?!?!?!?!?!?!

I have not had great interactions with their sales team. a friend of mine bought a vehicle there and his experience definitely made me wary of dealing with them. could be a fluke but they've already shown me they are willing to be confidently wrong about things or to do a complete 180 on what they claimed they do.That's what they told me anyway and I have purchased from them before and they were good to deal with( Londonderry Ford NH).
Pretty sure the COVP hit is avoidable as long as they have an email etc from the ordering customer saying they want/need to abandon the order.Dealers would have no idea of knowing whether a customer ordered at another dealer as well. And obviously the Ford system doesn't do any kind of name/address match to prevent it.
I would say most/many dealers still are requiring no deposit on Maverick orders, as they figure it'll be an easy sale if the original orderer walks away. With fewer orders being placed for 24 and increased production capacity, I don't think dealers are worried about the possibility of losing future allocations by not having all the trucks sold to the same person as who is COVP'd on the order.
Plus, I think there will be enough Mavericks to go around by spring that dealers will be able to order stock units with the Ecoboost engine. People will start buying Mavericks off the lot just like any other "normal" vehicle. These aren't C8 Corvettes or anything.
