And yet, you keep buying them.
What is that supposed to mean? You bought also. As a Ford stock holder, it's embarrassing and QC needs to get better which Farley has said.

In the Reddit post he started that it was only the back seats.
You mean the back seat was Lariat when he ordered an XLT? If so, my solution is still the same: cover up the Lariat back seat. Good solution if OP has dogs.

Time to find two Lariat seats at the junkyard.
There is a guy in this site that took the Lariat seat covers off and did a full leather interior from Katzkins. I wonder if he saved those skins and would donate them? I've ordered an XLT with bap because I hate the other option and will save the interior when I have Katzkins do a custom leather inisde.

Hmmm, this is something that we would have read about a Tesla type mishap -- mismatching door panels I think it was. I'm kind of surprised this wasn't caught and corrected at the factory where it should have been.

I can't believe Ford still does this. I sold Ford years ago and we got an escape in that had a hybrid badge on one side, and a V6 badge on the other. Got an Escape with Mercery Mariner taillights once also. Do they do no training at any level of the factory?

I hope this is a spoof. If this is real, cancel your orders now. This is Mexican quality at its finest like the paint drip that was at the bottom of my passenger rear door.

I dunno... I'm not quite sure I believe this. Seems equally likely this could be a instagram/social media publicity stunt. I mean, really... the installers, the factory QC people, the dealer prep guys, the salesman and the buyer ALL fail to notice and flag this? Suspect.
I concur...

@Ford Motor Company tell Jim Farley to get his shit together. There is ZERO excuse for this type of nonsense.

My better half works at a company that has a metal fabrication plant in Mexico. Reynosa, I think. Some good people work there and I'm happy that they have work but there is a difference in how a Mexican manager will deal with a quality control problem versus a Canadian or American manager. I think it may be cultural. You can tell them of a problem and your Mexican counterpart will acknowledge it but from there it moves very slow. I don't know if its how labor relations are conducted south of the Rio or if there is another layer of management to deal with but different it is. You have to follow up more than once. Overall and otherwise she had a decent opinion of the people there but the work can sometimes be sketchy.

Having worked on my own cars for years and seen the quality of aftermarket parts fall I have to say if I had the option of choosing between a Made In China part or a Made in Mexico part, I think I'd opt for the Mexican part.
