When I picked up my Maverick I had the dealer install the Thinkware DC-M2-FG Dash cam for a fantastic deal. Currently both the dealer and I can not get the dashcam to connect to my iPhone 13 in any manner. Tried all of the troubleshooting ideas, but can't get it to connect. Has anyone else installed this setup and been able to get it to connect up with their phones? Appreciate any insights you may have. Thanks in advance and enjoy your Maverick.

I installed that dash cam last weekend. I had no trouble connecting it to my Pixel 6 Pro. I just went out and was able to connect to my work iPad and my wife's iPhone 12 Pro Max. I don't really have any troubleshooting advice, Sorry. I'm sure you know but the default password is 123456789.

Thanks for the info. We did have the password and it didn’t work to connect. The dealer installed it and they are going to get it fixed. It just keeps saying no internet connection and refuses to connect. I think I may have a bad front camera. Will continue on Monday.

Hi Rick. Just wondering if you ever got your phone to connect to the dash cam. I just installed mine and I can connect to the dash cam WiFi but the Thinkware app won't see the dash cam.

I couldn't get my iPhone to connect. After one hour plus on the phone with support, I was told the iPhone and camera would not connect on the same wi-fi network at the same time. I had to have a wi-fi hotspot. I went to Verizon and picked up a Verson wi-fi hotspot and added it to my cell plan. Went to my vehicle and turned on the unit and everything connected as it was suppose to do. I have the wi-fi hotspot in my vehicle and I can connect and view video when not in the vehicle. the hotspot has to be charged each day with a use adapter. Hope this helps.....

I have a different brand dashcam, but have found I cannot connect my phone to the camera if my Motorola MA1 Android Auto adapter is plugged in. If I unplug it, I can connect.

Something to try if you use a AA or Carplay dongle. :)
