Ok, so last night I ran a few more runs to get a good datalog, and verify the Truckette didn't do some one off craziness on my earlier drive.

The boost hit 22.47psi, and held 20-21psi to redline. The runs repeated themselves with a 12.16, 12.22, and 12.15, all at 114mph. I believe the MAP sensor is maxed, because it flatlined a couple times during my runs, and anyone who has looked ar raw data before, knows that doesn't happen! So that should show us that we have a 2.5 bar map sensor, which sucks! Unless the datalog software is only setup to read that high, but I wouldn't think that is the case.

There was ZERO knock on 2 of the 3 runs, and just .5 knock for the last half of 6th gear during the pull. I'm pretty sure that's well within the acceptable level.

Lambda was generally between .80-.82, which is consistent with all of my other datalogs. So hopefully I'm not on the edge of the fuel system. I'll need 5Star to verify that for me.

I think it's safe to say these numbers are accurate considering I ran 12.1X 4 times, and 12.2X 2 times, all at 113-114mph! QuikRik is a beast!

So the 5 Star tune removes the top speed limiter?

Yes, any tuner can remove the limiter. Mine hasn't had the limiter since my first tune.

I apologize if I overlooked it - is there a part# for the 2.3 Corsair turbo?

John - very impressive especially considering what you put into it. I dont have my mav yet but i have a 2.3l turbo ready and exhaust. What are you running in terms of tires and suspension?

So, believe it or not, that is all 100% stock!

On good surfaces, I don't even spin. The main reason for this is the factory tuning on how the torque is managed off the line. I used to hate it, because the best 60' I've done is a 1.944, but after thinking about it, having this soft roll-out style launch is probably saving the transmission and drivetrain components.

I may lower QuickRik, but not sure when. If I get some summer wheels and tires, I may actually go to a smaller diameter tire, and take advantage of using all of 6th gear, since I'm already in 6th when I cross the quarter mile.

Sorry for the long post, just ramblings of where I might take the Mav, lol.

Any thoughts on going for a speed run one day. I know over in Wilmington OH they do the Ohio Mile run on a DHL/FedEX (or something) airstrip atleast once a year.

It would probably run in the upper 140s in the mile. There are rumors of a Maverick going 138.5mph in the mile, while only running 103mph in the quarter mile, so that's where I'm getting my guesstimate from. Lol

I was wondering why 60's seemed high on these trucks. Make sense now. I could get 2.1s in a fwd focus on factory tires so I was thinking you guys should be able to beat 1.9xxx.

So I just looked at my last few runs. I'm now trapping the same 1/8th mile mph that I started running in the 1/4 mile with the stock Mav!

I also did a hp calculator based on weight and trap speed, and 114mph pushing 3700lbs, comes out to roughly 420 crank hp. Not too shabby!

I bet you could put some aluminum factory diameter wheels on your Mav and get under 4s 0-60

Both the steelies and the aluminum rims both weigh in at 27lbs, from what I have heard. I have a plan, that can drop me down 16lbs each corner, but I don't know that I have the cash for it, lol.
